HARGRAVES V KITE

Postby mal » Wed Sep 24, 2008 9:22 am

Effervesant Danny Hargraves was last night cleared of an alledged charge of striking star Norwood defender Aaron Kite.
Hargraves was cited for the alledged strike in the Elimination Final Port V Norwood

Thats great news for Danny but if I was Danny I would be pissed off with the proceedings.

That final was on 14/9/08
The tribunal reviewed the case 23/9/08
Why a nine day wait ?
Poor Danny has been accused and condemned over the incident, and to go thru the stress of waiting for a week and half seems very very very wrong in my opinion.

The irony of the 9 day wait was had PA won the final v NW it would have been heard in about half the time.

After reading the Port Forum, I thought there must have been something in it after reading the comments of some of their users "Sniped him a beauty" were the words IIRC.

However I didn't see anything on the day, nor the replay and none of the players remonstrated so Not Guilty seems a fair call.

I don't think Harg's would have being suffering from an ordeal Mal, the season is over and his SANFL playing days are drawing close to an end, storm in a teacup.

Perhaps that means Hargs will play again next year.

Just an opinion but I reckon the reason for the delay is for Hargs to decide whether he is retiring or not, and if he was to hang up the boots, may have not bothered with a defence and copped whatever ban.

See,there was nothing in it.

Did the tribunal take into account Kite is only young?

Hargs is a THUG and the SANFL Tribunal are an absolute disgrace...

Why did Kite get stretchered off the field? Did he knock himself out did he? The ABC cameras picked up the incident, which clearly showed Hargs contacted Kite in the head region...

Yeah, but an X week ban means X times $600 next year in the country.

Mal the hearing was definitely postponed at the request of Port.

http://www.sanfl.com.au/news/sanfl_news/548/

A report against Daniel Hargraves scheduled to be heard at AAMI Stadium tonight has been postponed after a formal request from the Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club.

The report will be heard next Tuesday (September 23) at a time to be determined.

Hargraves was reported for allegedly striking Norwood’s Aaron Kite after video footage of Sunday’s Elimination Final was viewed.
