I'll think you find it is more than just one finals win on the trot....

On my records, you have to go right back to the 1980 Qualifying final when Sturt last beat Glenelg in a final

After that it's all Glenelg:
- 1982 1st semi final
- 1988 elimination final
- 2007 elimination final

Whether that's frequent enough to qualify as "bitches" is debateable
In between signatures .....

it will be a classic game of football played in front of another bumper crowd of 15,000 plus. Sturt will get up by 12-24 points.

Plenty seem to be writing the Bays off,but their best footy this season was sensational,if they can bounce back from the weekend, and play out of their skins,I see this game as being a great contest with it going to the wire.
Should be an epic battle that supporters of both clubs should be really looking forward to.
Hard to pick a wiiner.

I'm surprised so many Bays fans are writing them off. They only got done by 5 goals. It's not like you got flogged.

Sturt's form in finals is less than convincing. The only positive going into this week is that we found some form at Norwood's expense. That might make us go in puffing our chest out and the Bays might be a bit deflated. I'm sure Mickan wont let the Bay boys dwell on that too long though.

Bays in a tight one for mine, 3pts.

I reckon Centrals finals experience was probably the deciding factor v Sturt ... Sturt were better on the weekend for having a finals game under their belt and I reckon the Bays will better off for their run, even if it was a disappointing defeat.

Im having real trouble tipping this one as I reckon it will go right down to the wire, but the Bays for mine, depending on injury (Sherwood back a plus, Rudolph out would be a big loss and IMHO McConnell out would be a big plus for them).

I see Sturt as having the better star players than Glenelg however I reckon we have a touch more depth (if you lined up our bottomr 7-8 against Sturts) all equals a cracking game, would prefer less than ideal conditions which looking at the ofrecast we might get!

The other thing is today I think Rick Macgowan hit the nail on the head with is in his comments after the game,he said about his star players[ballwinners] in Sheedy and Thomson that if they are playing well and getting disposals that Sturt are at their dangerous best.
Against Central in the last round and in the Q final Sheedy in particular had limited impact .
Same as Glenelg two of their best onballers in Backwell and Allen didnt have the impact as they normally would of.
IMO these guys are pivotal to the success of their respective teams, whichever gets on top could be the difference to the final result.
Or it could be an even no holds barred game with all these guys at their best and that would really be a seesawing down to the wire battle.
You guys should be really excited at the prospect of this duel, has the potential to be a ripper.

Just as well we're not lining up your bottom 21 against our bottom 21!

Plenty of Sturt fans were writing the Blues off last week. Losing a final versus winning a final has a markedly different effect on the psyche.

FWIW I ain't writing the Bays off. The battle was lost, but the war ain't over yet....

i think we got slaughtered on sunday in the 3rd quarter which was the difference in the game and the 5 goals looks respectable, but we were smashed by the premiers

but we will WIN this week no doubt at all

am more then confident that our boys will continue to give sturt another footy lesson

bring on the rain
