From the Country Footy SA website, it says that Prime is the leading goalkicker out of all country leagues with 131.

To back up my previous statement The Eagles have won 5 of their last 6 incl their 2 finals so far by an average winning margin of 41 points

and Sturt won their last final (against the 2nd placed team at the end of the minor round) by an average of.............98 points

who beat the Eagles 2s last, just over a month ago???

Yes tassie we all know that the Eagles only loss in the last 6 games of our season is to the bays. Having said that though we did win the earlier encounter. I still believe we are the form side of the B's.

You are right; except there is no average over 1 figure. All that I can think of. :)

Another good performance by the Eagles boys today in breezy conditions that seemed to be swirling and not favouring the school end as much as last week.

Nick Malinovski had another great game throwing himself into contest after contest to set the example for his team mates,
Jarred Allmond got alot of the ball and used it pretty well, was able to get free quite a bit, probably his best game for the year
Matthew Goldsworthy was consistent all day and kicked a couple of goals, landed awkwardly after a contest near the race just before half time but returned after the break and finished the game off well.
Robbie Fiacchi, Adam Klun, Damien Williamson, Tom Couch, Lee Staple were solid, Jonathan Lee rucked well with support from Ben Arbon and Jared Redden who caused a few problems with his height up forward, was probably unlcuky not to have scored a couple more goals. Down back Patty Guiffreda was good again and Craig Gogoll took some important marks in the second half.

Not familiar with alot of the North players but...
Wade Thompson caused a few problems with his pace early on, put his body in a couple of times and came off second best but kept at it, Tim Devlins seemed to play pretty well as did David Clarke.
Special mention to Toby Stribling who after giving away a free kick late in the game threw his mouthguard a good 25-30 meters over the fence in the north eastern pocket, got great distance, almost needed one of those remote control cars they used at the olympics field events to go get it for him!!
Trust the process.

I thought it was a good standard of footy overall considering the blustery wind which was a mostly cross breeze after the first quarter. It seemed to switch from pocket to pocket.

I believe it was going more towards the north eastern pocket.

Great effort by the Eagles Reserves yesterday. If the League side had shown that much spirit and endeavour through the season, we would not be languishing outside the final five.

Glenelg Oval looked terrible.

It was a lot better then it was when the juniors played there about a month ago.

Very Good post .I couldn't make it yesterday.
So just assuming some of what Holden78(whether he is 1 or 2 people  ) is correct .Why would WWTFC wont Rodgers gone at the end of the final series.Surely a coach who is having some finals success be kept on board.Maybe he is inline for the North Job we have lost seconds coaches before who are now coaching in the league finals.

Sorry to pick you up spell_check but it was Goldsworthy (not Staple) who did the blind turn and hit J. Redden on the chest in the goal square with a 40 metre pass. Goldsworthy showed composure, footy nouse and maturity way beyond his years in this game, he will be a very good player for the Eagles. Maybe a little too slow to get drafted next year.
Jarrad Redden did some unbelievable things for someone his height (203 cm).

The bad news; Jake Pavlich injured his shoulder badly and could not possibly play next week and Craig Fitzgerald injured a knee and would be very doubtful for next week.

To me that would be great news .Why sack or fail to re sign a coach who gets your team into the finals.

Perhaps CD could confirm or deny this.

I'm more than happy to be corrected - I'd rather let people know the right info than the wrong. ;) Goldsworthy, well for a 17 year old to do that, even at Reserves level, he shows so much promise. He can only improve, and that's good news for next year.

Are there any eligible Reserves players that did not play yesterday that can play next week, or we need to bring a couple of 17s players in?

I have heard that it was a broken collarbone. I would think that it would require surgery and possibly a metal plate. Would say 8-12 weeks out. Unlucky for the kid, is a awesome player and will probably win his 2nd Reserves B&F award (back to back).

Also Spelly, would assume that we may have to bring up those couple of U/17s who played in the first final.

Is Cicolella eligible to play? I know he hasn't played for the last two weeks, but he did say that he wanted to help out in the finals (either grade).
