Still gutted about this game 2 hours later. We all know that with 1 bad qtr of football Sturt have just handed the 08 flag to CD - the winner of today's qual final was always going to beat Glg next week and stroll into the GF with the benefit of a week's rest. As a Sturt fan I don't know who I prefer to win out of Glg & CD next week. First of all Sturt have to beat a Weatherald-inspired Nwd (geez I hope scores aren't close in the last qtr..) but then is it better for Sturt to play CD again in the Prelim and then be a battered & bruised outfit to play Glg a week later or should Sturt take on CD in the GF and hopefully get Barnaby French into the team...

how can you say that with confidence ? because when was the last time sturt beat glenelg ?

To me Glenelg weren't quite firing on all cylinders in the past month and I can't see them as being strong enough to beat CD in a finals match. The last Sturt/Glg match at the Bay was a great day for the SANFL comp and Sturt with at least 6 top line players missing that day lost it by only a small margin against Glenelg who were playing at their best at the time. I would be happy for Glenelg to be premiers if Sturt miss out - but a worthy minor premier side shouldn't lose twice in the season to teams like South !!!

well yeah we're happy south aren't there as they seem to know how to beat us (perhaps it is a match up thing)

as for form well reading the budget today 4 of the finals teams have won (before today) 7 of their last 10 matches while norwoods record is 5 wins, as bart cummings says you can't keep him at 100% in every start as factors come into it...the same goes for footy
