It's not a privilage to play in a GrandFinal.

It's our RIGHT.

For a second there Doggie.....you sounded deadset like a Port supporter from years gone bye !

Thanks Baysman - that is a compliment.

After years in the footy wilderness the club thought about merging and made overtures to North which were rejected by them. We then decided that we needed to change significantly. We were financially broke and unsuccessful and the field and demorlalised. We looked at the most successful outfit in town at that time - Port and modelled ourselves on them.

That was the 90s - our whole club has now changed. We are much more professional and players and supporters alike expect success. No - we demand success. We may appear arrogant at times but I am sure that I speak for many when I say that we are proud of the journey the club has made and want this run of success to continue into the future.

I would rather be hated for being arrogant that despised for being a loser.

Not too many people I know, particularly down the Bay, that hate the Dogs and its supporters. If anything, it is a healthy respect. I respect a club like Centrals, whereas I would tend not to hold much respect for a club like South Adelaide, for a host of reasons.

Disagree with yas Callinan b4 his knee problem was getiing around five to 10 kicks a game and snapping goals from anywhere he would bag 3 to five goals a game over the last 5 weeks or so he has not been at his brilliant best

Hopefully maybe this Sunday ???

So how far do the Dogs go as a club? Do they strive to be the best club in the nation by aiming to obtain a licence to the AFL? Or are they happy to win SANFL premiership after SANFL premiership and try to maintain what they've already achieved?

If you think a club needs to compete in the AFL to lay claim to being the best club in the nation then you're reading the wrong forum. Try BigFooty.com.

I probably should have written it "best club"...

They modelled themselves on Port, just wondering if that is the next step, eventually...

We're bloody lucky to have made it this far! Reminds me of 2006. We have no forwards at all & no real ruckmen-Buckets does a fantastic job but someone else much taller should be doing much more! Lawry to CHB, which he likes to play at, Schell in the forward lines & see ya' later Giles!

Right now all I hope for is a win on sunday. That will put us in the GF and a crack at our 7th flag.

I expect that is what the players and admin are focussed on as well.
