Agreed. Laird's not a coach's bootlace.

Was Feast any certainty to kick a goal, what's his track record like 20 metres out, straight in front, at Adelaide Oval......Spelly ?

For a while there I thought it had been wasted

Gee didn't Sturt lead all day for all but a minute in last years Elimination Final too?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Unfortunately we are down on big man strength. With Daniel Havelberg out for the season, Justin Westhoff ineligible and Luke Cowan down on form we really need two Schelly's - one up forward and one down back.

Listening on the radio whilst washing the cars today, gee Sturt had all the momentum and then bang away it goes.

Well done sturt supprters you cost your side the game today, hope you can look Rick and the boys in the face.

In the third and last qtrs it was interesting how many times the familiar names came up, Thomas, Slade, McCabe, Gowans(s).

ST lost the game not becoz of the land invasion.
IF they kicked 1 more goal they would have won
IF Crane kicks the goal with about 1 minute to go do we then say the land invasion cost CD the game?
What happens after a land invasion is purely coincidental

Maybe you should stay at home next week and wash the cars again, might lead to another Doggies win...

Nah, I think his alias starts with Sturt and ends with Peter...

He got an ear bashing from the 5AA crew who were trying to do the SANFL show with Dan Norton and Zac Milbank live from the stands :?

Agree with this but i thought Aufderheide did a very good job on Chambers and Sibenaler smashed Perrie, so i think we have the players that have some height and can free up schelly to go forward, and dont forget Aufderheide can go forward if need be.
Did Cowan do more in the reserves game than what Lawry did yesterday. Because Lawry was really non existant yesterday.

I was just thinking that. Kinda putting your head in the lions mouth considering who Norwood are playing next week.

Pfft. I don't think the Legs will get past the Blues but then again, the Bluebaggers led all day and couldn't finish the job but the underdog Redlegs defeated the Port 'machine' (amazing how fast the Port myth builds this mob up at this time of year) with no bench in one of our best wins for years. The Legs have nothing to lose and every man and his....erm...DOG HA HA will be on Strut to win. Maybe some rain will help Strut turn to water.

Well Sturt's premiership hopes have taken a battering. The stats back it up too.

The loser of the qualifying final has only gone onto to win the premiership just once in the same year. However, it was Sturt that did it in 1976.

Congratulations Central :(

Your guile and hardened Finals' experience won out ultimately.

Not a pretty match to watch and much akin to that Rugby game 6 years ago in the2nd Semi-Final

Very disappointing outcome, we lacked alot of intensity in the last 1/4 which ended up costing us the game, and while the umpiring was pretty good for most of the game there were a few decisions in the last 1/4 that showed no consistency whatsoever not to mention the 2nd 1/4 debarcle with Feasty lining up for goal. With Coad out of the team I thought it was a big mistake not to have Herring playing. With Chambo kicking 5 of our 9 goals we needed another avenue to goal, I think we've lacked a really good crumber in the forward lines all year.
Well done to the Doggies, they know how to win come finals and for them to come back from 4 goals down shows the guts they have as a team.
I think they will roll Glenelg and go straight into the GF. I'm not ruling out the Blues at all, I think we'll bounce back.

Well played by both side Doggies very lucky to win it, there are still a few players in the side that i reckon are not fit Schelly to me struggled throughout the game,Callinan has not been the same since his knee injury, Dogs still undisciplined in regards to giving away too many frees also some of their foot skills and passing pretty poor, a lot of work still to be done if they wanna play in another GF !!

Ryan Williams in the back lines looked a bit shaky for my liking should of played as an attacking forward as in the past.

Oh yeah great to see the umps being sucked in by Milky Chambers to get free kick in front of goal resulting in a sausage roll for ducking his head well done Milky and the white maggot

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well of course the players won't be thinking that way..at least I hope! I don't think we are up to speed in comparison with the top three who have been a fair way ahead of the rest all season. If we can keep going every win is a bonus is what I was trying to say.

If we got rolled by the Strutties we can always think about how we knocked out Port.

Knocked out Port.

ha ha.
