thanks jars , u gave a greatful north supporter some wonderful memories.

the highlight for me was jars bringing the team over to the supporters at adelaide oval against sturt, WHAT PASSION THAT WAS.

and of course the grand final and the build up to it.my kids first time experiencing the rundle mall, training, and the big day.

thanks jars.

why is this a surprise ? as almost every person on this site told us 2-3 months ago it WAS GOING TO HAPPEN, my 2c worth is whether you 'love him' or hate him' jarman HAS LEFT north in a far better state (in all areas of the club) than it was when he took over

i'd suggest for those asking about fud he'll depart as well

The Channel 9 sports report on the News said that Jars may be an assistant coach at the Fremantle Dockers next year & that "Sticks" Phillips may coach North Adelaide, what do we think of these presumptions?

Sticks may coach next year, I may coach next year, Stephanie Rice may coach next year, Anthony from the Wiggles may coach next year, Doc Neeson may coach next year.
Noone's been interviewed yet, applications haven't even been called for, not saying they'll eventually be wrong as they might fluke it but Channel 9 would have about as much idea as my dog.

I would think it's unlikely Rice would take the job as she has a luctraive deal with channel 7 and wouldn't be able to put the time in that the job requires. I think Doc Nielson would look at it and make bring a freshness to the footy club.

It was the last time we won one and the last time we had a great coach. :(
Next one will be when we get our next great coach, there's been a big gap between them unfortunately. :(

I had a look at the old Roost and Macgowan and Trevor Hill were both on the same short list as Jars back at the end of 2003.
Ironic that those 2 are coaching sides in the finals at the moment.

12 months ago they were both watching Jars coach in a GF while Hill missed the finals and Rick's sturt team were out in week 1. Im not a Jarman fan but it may have been worth holding on to him like the Eagles will with Fuller as you know he would have been desperate to turn it around.

Jars did a good job but he has lost the plot and many players and the clubs off field woes were cured by Robert Gerard

The hard part is finding the right person to take North to that next level [as we all know]

Maybe Jars will do the same as when he was a player. Start at North and move on to Norwood in the future? Obviously not next season as Hill has done a good job this year.

Jarman had contacted Freo and expressed and interest but the club haven't looked at getting him, according to Chris Bong on 6PR
It's all the SANFL's fault.
