Will forever go down in history as the last Tomkins medallist?

What will be the medal used for the U18's? The McCallum/Tomkins medal?

Well done to Scott Lewis on the reserves Magarey. That should go nicely with his Tomkins medal from his Westies days.

Special mention to Byron Sumner, polled 14 votes in 5 of the first 6 games for the Eagles in under 17's, moved up to 19's, polled in another 4 games before he moved up into the reserves where he played 4 games. Surely would have won the 17's medal if he continued to play. Ended up fourth, only 6 votes behind the winner, another 2 games in 17's and you would have felt confident of him doing enough to poll the 6 to tie.

Bright future ahead if he sticks at it.

Shane is a great player, and great lad. He played 3 games for us (Portland) this year when Eagles had the bye, and polled 9 votes in the D4 medal. He won us one game off his own back (vs Adelaide Lutheran). Played ressies at the Eagles last year, but couldn't get a game this year :?

I can tell you he was very close to quitting the Eagles halfway through the season, and finishing the year with us. We were keen for him to play for us full-time but we wanted him to pursue his SANFL aspirations first.

Great work Shane !!!

Bratton polled the most for Sturt with around 13, Eckerman polled 11 i think. Jeremy Johncock and Joel Kay both polled around 7 or 8. Votes were definately shared around in the Sturt team as they polled a maximum 6 votes in 15 of 20 games and for the year 108 votes out of a maximum 120. Good effort by the team!

Marlon Motlop and Ricky Ebert were best for the Roosters, tied for 5th on 12 votes.

Well done to Brad he had a fantastic year, highly skilled football, uses the ball all the time. Was left out of the side for 1 game this year as a part of a rotation. If he grows a little bit he could play much higher, no pun intended.
