yea why would freo want a bloke who took over a nearly dead club to 1 of the better sides, makes no sense

Well said goraw. Too many short memories on here.

I acknowledge the great job he did with the NAFC but he has gone on 2 years too many IMHO.

thats my point rod. he is good at turning the club around, ie culture , which freo so sorely needs.wheather he can go all the way, well thats a challenge jars has yet to conquer .

goraw, he did a great job of turning the club around for sure. Unfortunately his ego got in the way of him taking the club further. Put that ego into an assistant coach role and it will be a disaster.

If this half wit is going to Freeo flopper it is only right to add more crap to an already crap team. They are the disgrace of the AFL and he was when he played. Big mouthed idiot. I hope he has fun there cause they can turn feral if it ain't going their way quickly. And he'll be a good scapgoat.

I could of have added more but I thought that was enough. Why waste time on someone like him.
And did you know that the Floppers are looking at changing names and colours so this will mean mascot too.

A grain of salt may be required when reading that post JTC.As much as I didn't like him (from the day he blew kisses at Waverly to the Hawks fans) you have to admire the natural ability he had.

You know why he did that don't you? The Hawks fans were booing him as he came off so he blew kisses back. All in all pretty funny stuff.

Freo's problems have always been the boat-anchor .... how can you play with one around your neck??? :(

As for Jars .... just more dead weight .... BUT .... maybe he can provide a counter balance!

It's a parallel of Phil Carman. Saved the club on field but couldn't take it all the way. Time for someone new.

I suppose getting Sticks Phillips to finish the job in will complete the comparison.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

i couldnt give a stuff what kicker and non north supporters think about jars. but north supporters really have me stunned as to why they have turned on 1 of norths fav sons who has bled on the field for his beloved club, and pulled us out of our darkest days ever as coach.ffs get over your egos and start supporting the coach of YOUR club.

I am not turning on him all i am saying is that i don't think he can take the group any further than he has. I wouldn't think my suggestion of him having a massive ego is unfair either. I think you would struggle to find anyone who'd disagree with that. He did great things for our club and i am very grateful for that but i just feel it's time to move on. The message just isn't getting through any more.

if bleeding for the club means going to Norwood after getting thrashed in the '89 GF....
I'm in the middle here- I'm not Jars #1 fan or #1 critic. I want what's best for the club, & if that means Jars as coach, I'll support him 100%. If he needs to move on for the good of the club, then thanks jars for your excellent efforts.

Everyone knows what ANJ did for the NAFC, firstly as a player when things were nice and rosey on the field. He came back to the club in probably it's darkess hours, on the pont of folding, many may not have done that, he chose to and has produced some pretty good results, unfortunately no premiership but hell he got us off the bottom, made us a competative unit, but hell he has made some blunders as well. I don't think Goraw it has anything to do with North supporters ego's, I know alot that has been published on web sites about him by people and yes myself included have said what we have said in the interest of the club and Jars himself and a hell of a lot of it has been said to his face as well. If he moves on we can be thankful that he has given the club the support it needed in bad times and gave the supporters some joy watching at times some pretty fantastic footy. If he stays we stand united and start the trek next year under him for that elusive flag
