How do the Crows stack up against the smaller forwards? Rutten to Cloke maybe but you've also got to watch that young Anthony. I reckon Thomas, Davis and Medhurst could be matchwinners today.

Not a good enough list? Hell with 1 game to go in the season you were a "top 4" team. You were in the top 4 during the year. If you didnt have the list you shouldnt have made finals!

And the disgrace was the fact the so-called biggest team in South Australia couldnt even get more than 40,000 supporters to their only final in Adelaide.

The charitable view is perhaps he hasn't noticed the Adelaide Show is on - as a former farmer that's where I'd have been today if I were in Adelaide.
More realistic perhaps is the assumption he is a Port supporter camouflaging his and his club's shame. 8)

You are right Stumps, too many gaps in the list, and also too many who haven't got enough in the legs anymore.
They did well to finish 5th, and almost 4th, with what they had, when everyone was saying the Crows would be 13th and Port in the finals at the start of the year.

A very disappointing day :(

Neil Craig can take some blame obviously but how about some of the lads that went missing today? Not sure if we were even out there in the 3rd quarter and some key players seemed to be missing all day.

My take on this year was that making finals would be a bonus as it was about bringing through the kids. However, once we made 5th and got a home final we HAD to take the opportunity. It looked like Collingwood wanted it more. Maybe once we got 4 goals in front we figured it would be easy and took the eyes off the ball.

We had a key forward doing well in Stevens, Maric was sold and the defence was good I thought the huge gap was the midfield and the clearances. Too many guys through that area had off days. Mackay was an exception.

Still, the crop of juniors is the best I have seen since the early-mid 90s so hopefully everyone learns (again) from a week 1 elimination from the finals and bloody well build on it in 2009.

Perhaps Port fans are using this opportunity to turn the tables and criticise Adelaide and their lack of fans, just like Adelaide fans do at every opportunity to Port fans.If you would rather go to the show and waste money on piles of platics Chinese rubbish and pastic American food,so be it.....shows how fickle they are.
