Thanks Bodey

Not the most talented Tiger to pull on the black guernsey with the gold sash but very few, if any, have played with more passion, loyalty and pride.

Having witnessed his talk to the boys, this has been a bloody hard decision for the little wiz.

Do it for Bodey Boys, Do it for Bodey....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Always admire the smaller players who stick their body on the line.

Also remember watching him and Stuart Dew battle it out in under 9's footy and it was obvious then that both were destined to go a long way.

I'll never forget the night Bodey was named 3rd or 4th best about 4 years ago when he made a rare appearance for the Bays, having been injured and making his way back to the Crows lineup...in his speech, he mentioned to all and sundry just how much the club means to him, and that when his AFL career is over, he will return to his "home" and play for the Bays. He spoke with passion and a love for the club, which was sensational to hear.

I'm pleased he's given us one year, particularly given the way he's had to battle injuries and non-footy related workload, but I was hoping he would be around to aid our finals hopes in the coming seasons also.

I hope the boys go all the way this season, because that would be as fitting a send off as a favourite son like Bodey could get.
Is 2009 the year of the Tiger?
