So what excuses do you have for the last time we thrashed the Eagles? We've seen a fair few instances of Eagles crumbling like cookies over the past few years.

We missed the 2005 finals by 1 game and looked set to improve under Dale Lewis. Then T.Hill came along and the old boys club was back in favour. We finished 7th in his first year, last year we had the debacle at Elizabeth and finished 7th and this year we had the debacle at Norwood against Glenelg. Now we go into a finals series where the gap between us and the top 3 is huge. IMHO we are no better placed than 2005, no matter how contradictary(?) that sounds.

Having said that we are only 4 wins away from a premiership!

I don't understand the Norwood supporters on this forum. We take enough crap from supporters of other clubs, and our own supporters do nothing but criticise us as well. Is there anything you like at all about Norwood?

Having missed only 7 games and 1 qtr in the last 33 seasons and not envisaging a reason why I will ever miss another I can assure you there are a LOT of things I LOVE about this club! Combined with the 20 years of being in the Cheer Squad and running it for 5 years and being at Mike Olsen's beck and call when he was operations manager, then I believe I can have an opinion!
However if you think 6 flags since 1950 and in reality not this year either is acceptable, then let's all pretend it's a bed of roses and not strive for improvement. Sorry to reign on your parade.
Answer me this, are YOU truly happy with the Norwood Football Club of the last 5 years?

Thought the run from defence to attack was terrific on Saturday. Haven't seen that sort of run much this year. Also, the backline finally seems to be gelling and trusting each other at last. Don't underestimate Kenny's influence back there and Zac Hier is back to his best.
Broadbent is a gun, all credit to his previous mentors. Must be signed by Crows or PAP so we can get a few more games out of him.

You're in the minority here I'm afraid. For a club to p*ss up the wall the huge advantages in support and finance we've had over the years to the tune of five flags in nearly sixty years borders on criminal.

With Port and eagles on 18 pts only one of them will finish fourth on 20 pts, Norwood will be 5th on 19 pts, and the loser of Port and eagles will miss out.

Mind you Norwood can still will next week.

Unless there's a draw nex week between Port and Eagles.

From a crowd point of view. I am so sick of hearing this narrow minded pig headed argument. That's a ridiculous statement wedgie.

Based on one game? Just recently Norwood thrashed Sturt and ran Central to within 2 points.

If you want to quote recent history - We thrashed Central by a club record winning margin, lost to Sturt only by 16 points at Unley and beaten Glenelg by 2 goals. I think if you want a competitive side in the finals the logical choice is the Eagles. I gurantee you Sturt, Glenelg and Central would be shitting their jocks a lot harder over the prospect of the Eagles making the 5 more than they would Norwood. Let's face it right now the legs look like sitting ducks ready to be put out of their misery.
