With the Eagles knocking off the Bays this week and Port in pretty good form it looks like Sturts better percentage may just hold them in stead for top spot at the end of the minor round. I think Sturt will probably lose against Centrals in the last round, Glenelg have a better run home than Sturt, but next weeks clash at Alberton may be the decider. I personally think the minor premiership is important this year. Will it come down to the wire? It's shaping up to be a great end to the minor rounds and going forward to the finals.

Whenever we are the TV game and the weather forecast says possible showers our crowds are effected but yesterday was worsr given we were up against AFL at AAMI and AFL and Olympics on telly.

Even so disappointed with official crowd - I did think there were more there though as both the cricket club and the WWTFC clubrooms had big crowds - ceretainly for presentations we were packed.

Ahhh yes, put forward a logical point of view and always expect a bays supporter to take it as a dig! Sounds like a case of 2nd year finals paranoia.
Psuedo, it's a valid observation, look at all games played this Sat. and 2 had just over 2000 and one didn't come near that figure, leading into finals that's a failure, you're mob should've come to the party considering the year you've had and the great crowds you've pulled so far...so to speak

I still like our chances of finishing Minor premier even though our failing to capitalise on 50 more possesions 35:25 advantage in clearances and 18 more inside 50s yesterday means it is out of our hands now.

Make no mistake yesterday we lost the game, but it only takes some minor tweaking to build on that.

Central can win the minor premiership if Glenelg loses both it's remaining games, Sturt loses by 100 this week and then we beat them by 150 in the last minor round game after beating West by 100 this week. Come on boys.........

Minor premiership is nice, especially if it's been a while since the last bye, but the double chance is the most important advantage of the final 5 system. Once the finals hit then the 2nd and 3rd teams are in exactly the same position in reality.

GF will almost certainly be contested by top 3 sides this year as I don't think either Norwood or Port are good enough to win against the class of the top 3 this season.

Port have too few do too much IMHO to win finals. Their best half dozen or so are possibly the best in the comp, but after that they are among the weakest going around. Finals are always going to favour teams that share the load more easily.

Well then next week should be even worst then because we're head to head against the Crows at AAMI. I know several of our fans that go for both teams and will attend AAMI instead of Oval Ave.

This looks a race in 2. I favour Sturt slightly ahead of Glenelg considering the draw each of these teams have.
