For the first time in 15 years the AFL has an attacking exciting to watch side as the no 1 side in the country.
It's been hard to get passionate about it since the mid 90s but is very easy now. :?

No it wouldn't be hard not to get passionate if you were a Geelong fan. But like I said, Geelong, Bulldogs and maybe a couple of other teams play the game close to how it should be.

My choice would always be my SANFL club over any AFL game and hopefully any WWT & Norwood members - supporters feel the same way, I like the suggestion about watching the game then piling into the function rooms to put some coin into the club whilst watching the AFL on TV once the game is over. Its a far better atmosphere for starters, coupled with the fact that you will likely save yourself something in the order of $100

No, Geelong and Western Bulldogs are those sides. Most of the other teams spend their time handballing and playing kick to kick.

Who cares about the otheri sides?

Sadly being up against a Crows game at AAMI, Crows telecast on slight delay and being the TV game I am not confident about the crowd.

I know the diehards like me and all the Eagle posters on here will be there and I reckon we can make a fair amount of noise.

Tape the Crows - check it out on the screens in the clubrooms but Legs and Eagles fans get to Oval Ave this weekend - plus anyone else looking to watch a good game of footy!!!

As this game is the most important match The Norwood Football Club has played since the 2002 Preliminary I would hope ALL Norwood people will go to Pecker Park, outnumber our hosts and make a heap of noise!

And I hope some Pecker people turn up as well, just for a bit of atmosphere!

i'll be there

cd, why not promote the day as a $2.00 day or even just open the gates & see if you can get extra in like that.....just a thought to increase the crowd

Saturday 30 August
Round 22
Eagles v Norwood @ Eagle Park
2pm start

Down the road
Crows V Bulldogs @ AAMI
3-40pm WTF start - since when is that a footy time???.

CD what is the clubs rationale for sticking with the saturday timeslot when all other clubs are scheduled Sunday? The crowd will be decimated.
IIRC The last time this happened was a match at alberton when the crows played hawthorn at aami, albeit a 2-30 start time

What does a Fully paid up Eagles & Crows Member do??.

1) Lobby Eagles to change match to Sunday, along with the other 3 SANFL games
2) Lobby Eagles to change start time for ressies & league to an hour earlier?
3) Attend first half of Eags Match, by which time Norwood might have it won (like last time) - then to AAMI on footy express
4) Attend first half of Eags Match, by which time Eagles would have it won (like most times) - then to AAMI on footy express
5) Attend all of Eags Match, then last half at AAMI via taxi
6) Attend AAMI (always good seeing any type of bulldog lose at AAMI) & tape the eagles match for later perusal, presuming it wil be on ABC1 and a reason why saturday & time can't change.

I know a few Eags members who are also Crows Members, what are people doing?

Tape one of them games and go and watch the other one. Or, stay home and flick channels.

It's not ideal, but the SANFL are committed to at least one match on a Saturday afternoon for every round of the SANFL minor-round, and each club seems to have to bite the bullet and have their share of the clash matches.

Silly programming, but perhaps the Crows/Power need to have more of a say over the AFL fixturing with the AFL, given the commitment the ABC have had to broadcast one game a week, which is a Saturday afternoon.

Boo the AFL for believing that AFL on Saturday afternoons in SA is a winner.

Of course you are excited by it,it is your team that is setting the benchmark at the moment, but as we know the tide will turn and you slip back to being mid pack like every other club with a recent premiership has done.

I rarely have this problem,I think once has a Power home game clashed with a Magpies game.If you have already paid for your seat at AAMI it is a tough choice as in essence if you dont go you are just throwing money away.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Totally inappropriate.

Will cost the WWT Footy Club at least 500 spectators. :(

Yeah it should have been Westies...then only 10 supporters would have been affected.

As opposed to going and throwing your money away of course.

B Go cheer support help get the guys a win and one step closer to a finals berth.
No brainer is it Eagles all day every day 365 days of the year .
