MY post wasnt in response to you but rest assured mate, the Eagles will end up having a better year then North. I know that's not a huge conciliation . Christ, take our 2 lucky wins against the Eagles out of the equation and you were miles in front of us.

Was that 2 lucky wins against the Eagles or 3. For mine it's 3 because you were lucky to hold on at Prospect in round 1. Although you were the better team most of that day you were lucky to hold on in the 3rd. As for the 2nd game if it wasn't for a brain explosion by Rimmington and the late goal on 3 qtr time siren that was a win too the eagles as well. As fo the 3rd we just did our normal trick against you guys of late and that is to hold an early lead and fade late to lose.

Bayman I am still up in the air re the coach / board.
But whoever has changed the game plan is starting to get the team heading in the right direction. If its to late for this year which I fear it might(we have only beat norwood once and lost to Port twice) be look out in 09 .
If its Ron then great but if its Jeffries that's fantastic for the future of the club.

MMMM Would be interesting to note that Glenelg have had trouble at the larger ovals .And saturday saw Glenelg struggle against a team hard at both body and ball after 1/4 time .
I would not wish to be a Glenelg side facing a Centrals team on Adelaide oval .All those gowans boys hard at the body on a very large oval .
Makes you think doesn't it .
Don't get we wrong bays fans you guys looked really pretty running in lines and handballing through the centre of woody oval. But when faced with guys going in hard you seemed to stop .
Something the Eagles had to learn to win the flag in 06.

Show me were we have been belted on a big ground consistently to back up your spineless arguement...

Bit like Darryl Wintle hey

Like him, I think the Gowans boys (all 2 of them) will also hang the boots up at the end of this season. :(

Yes, We are playing crap BUT....Schell back in will be a HUGE bonus for Us, plus Slattery, Callinan is getting fitter & fitter, The twins are due for big ones & WILL be here next year for life membership, Sponge is starting to fire up, O'Sullivan & Slade are ready, Thomas is burning every weekend, chuck in a couple of Westhoffs & the evergreen Richie Cochrane starting to peak, McCabe on the weekend was excellent & Griffin in ruck....We've played & won a lot over the last few years in September & October & that is a MASSIVE bonus!

It's great that there is still life left in the comp for seven of the nine clubs:

2Blues 19 15 4 - 62.3 30
Bays 19 15 4 - 57.4 30
Dogs 19 13 6 - 53.6 26
-- given, about two weeks ago \:D/
4 Legs 19 9 9 1 48.6 19
5 Eags 19 9 10 - 50.4 18
6 Pies 19 9 10 - 50.3 18
7 Chooks 19 8 11 - 47.5 16
-- see below
Panfers 20 5 14 1 39.1 11
Bloods 19 2 17 - 39.8 4
-- gawwn! With another Spoon headed West :-({|=

Legs play Glenelg - should lose and drop to 5th place. Depends on the outcome of the Chooks / Bloods game - if it's a blow-out for the Westies, the Legs might even drop to 6th, so Norwood supporters would be backing the Bloods this weekend!!
Eags play Port - should win and go to 20 pts and 4th place. A loss will probably cost them finals action.
Pies play Eagles - should lose and stay out of the finals. If they win, they might just stay in the hunt.
Chooks play West - Will win and go to 18pts. The Percentage, and the Legs/Bays outcome, will be the telling factor. 8-[

Wonder if Spelly could give us a probable outcome of these matches [-o<
But yes, it was a pretty pointless comment wasn't it?!

Legs 3 point clear of Roosters mate, so can't happen (well it can, but only via Pies v Eags draw)
