Postby bayman » Sun Aug 24, 2008 9:26 pm

for most of the year most people thought it was a 3 horse race for the flag but now as we a nearing the finals is it still a 3 horse race or can the premier come from the elimination final ?

seeing as north are probably gone, you could say it is a 6 team race, all the teams from first to sixth have beaten each other except the eagles havent beaten port, do have to play them in the last round though

As long as Glenelg doesn't win I'll be happy.

Real shame too as they were my 2nd team up to this year until a few of their fans got ahead of themselves and started carrying on like morons.

All I can say is Go Raiders, Go Rhinos and Go Cats! :D

At least North fans have been consistent through the years huh? :D

FWIW still a 1 team race for mine.

Central will be the team to beat in September.

If its a battle of clubs that have fans that keep a lid on it then its an open race between Sturt, Central, Norwood, Port and the Eagles.

It wouldn't suprise me if Canberra and Geelong fans fare better than Glenelg fans come late September/ealy October, karma is a wonderful thing.

Well Wedgie, the bottom line is, we have left it too late. We may be the only cluib outside the top 3 to beat all three teams in the top three, but we didn't beat one who is out of the finals race and have yet to beat Port this year. That's the difference.

MY post wasnt in response to you but rest assured mate, the Eagles will end up having a better year then North. I know that's not a huge conciliation . Christ, take our 2 lucky wins against the Eagles out of the equation and you were miles in front of us.
