Don't know as yet, will have to confirm when we get the reserves side...

Can I please ask nicely one more time that you get rid of that bloody signature of yours Topsy...

It has ran it's race well and truly now and I think you are dragging it out a little bit don't you think. Can you PLEASE remove it...

Big Philip!

SA and CD are the only two SANFL teams to have conquered Mighty Glenelg in 2008.

Do you agree an upset is on the Cards???

No, unfortunately Steiny has suffered another injury and is now out for the rest of the season. He has sustained ligament damage in one of his fingers and it will now be interesting whether Steiny announces that he is conceding his career to his ailing body or will his courage and determination see him look to go around once again in 2009 ???

Can someone give the bloke some luck or if no luck is available give him some new arms.

wycb...

He'd have to be one of the unluckiest players in the last 5 or 6 years in terms of injuries. He has his shoulder reconstructed 3 or 4 times, get's that right and makes his way back through the 2's only to go down with hammy or calf injuries...

Then this year he finally and deservadly makes his way back into the league side only to injure ligaments in his finger...

I feel so sorry for the guy, he shows great patience and courage to keep on playing on...

Like I said before though, not quite sure what he is going to do now on terms of whether he retires or not...

Should be a bloody good day out, never been to Noarlunga Oval before!! Meeting at Dirty Leeds Boy's house at Morphine Vale first, with JMO, for a Gummy Bear & Cake BBQ! Who knows what will happen? We should win but I think that it will be an ugly game & in the end, we'll win by about 3 or 4 goals.

What the dogs have achieved has nothing to do with luck.

So you have no sympathy TB for a bloke that had 3 or 4 shoulder recos, numerous soft tissue injuries and everytime he tries to comeback, he gets struck down by injury. Disregard all of the achievements of the past, they were certainly not a result of luck.

Steiny is a true club man and a champion footballer and all round nice guy. Will be a shame if this is the way his career will end, at least he did get to play in the league side, albeit in a loss.

Before people get a little carried away, I was not attempting to make a personal attack on Steinberner's run with injuries...I've always admired Steinberner and I think he has been sensational for the CDFC.

The comment I made is purely an attempt to point out that while it appears he is having zero luck at present with injuries and whatnot, I think if you asked him and anyone else, he would contend that he's been very fortunate (for a better word than luck) to be involved in the most successful era the SANFL has witnessed and won so many premierships and notched up other personal achievements along the way. It is part and parcel of footy...some players avoid the injuries, others get hit with injury after injury (Ryan Fitzgerald) and there's little they can do about it.

Back in your box BP...I have nothing but admiration for the guy.

I was hoping that's what you meant by your comments TB but I can never tell with your posts...

In the end, apart from the "get back in your box" comment, good post TB, well put, or explained.

Is that because it's actually written without spelling or grammatical errors, and written in less than 3,000,000 words?

I'll avoid the message that this is getting a little off topic by posting this...

Here is the Centrals reserves side for this week against South, with a few familiar names back in...

RESERVES:
Aufderheide, Barmby, Boyle, Brading, Demasi, Duncan, Dunne, Foldesdy, Giles, Hudson, Hynes, Kelly, McGee, McGrath, McShane, Porter, Shaw, Slattery, Spurr, Trevena, White

Great to see one of my favourite players, in Ash Duncan, back in the reserves side this week after missing a few weeks with a broken hand. His run and attack on the footy has been sorely missed. Also great to See Charles Slattery come back for his first game in a Dogs jumper since hurting his knee way back in Round 6 against Glenelg down at the Bay. Good luck Slatts in the comeback.

Hopefully the ressies boiys can get a well needed win and get the season back on track. Make sure you get down there early and cheer the boys on, they are the future of our club and need the fans to embrace them and support them the same way we do the league side. Good luck boys...
