Tippett hadn't played for two weeks.

Aside from my earlier post straight after the match, where I indicated that Boyd had stuff all influence post-quarter time, it's been brought to my attention that Boyd had 39 possies. Well I'll be stuffed. Watching the game, aside from the first term, I barely noticed him having any impact whatsoever. He does seem to get a lot of touches in heavy traffic, so if you blink (as I may have done about 20 times), you will miss his quick hands...

Happy to admit a mistake on that one.

Kurt played quite well considering he was unwell and had to have a lay down during the third term.

Our last few weeks we have shown some real spirit. I was really hoping that a win was around the corner because now that the spirit is there we shouldn't be blown off the park for the rest of the year. We may even upset one more team for the year 8) .

Challenge for Westies now is to move forward without relying too much on Tippett to be the forward-line saviour you've been craving for...he may just be moved back up to the Crows at any time, so the Bloods need to develop a multitude of options in attack to counteract the reliance on one bloke...

Tippett's high-marking was a feature in the game...he is so gangly and awkward at times, a bit like Nick Gill, but he tries hard.

I agree TB but unfortunately we do currently rely on the AFL listed players as our forwards. You take Tippet and Willits out of our side and we would struggle to kick a winning score at all. As Glenelg have with Grima, Kirkby and Duldig we need to make our own forward line that isn't reliant on AFL listed players. That along with some genuine midfielders will be the major focus of our recruiting i hope  .

I'm moving to London in February, so it's a relief that I'll only have to suffer through another 2 weeks of this bullshit.

It has been a while since we have had 30 scoring shots, when was the last time spelly?

Round 19 last year, 19.14 against South. This is also the last time that the 100 point mark has been broken by West.

Your mob certainly wouldn't want to be in a two-team comp with South.
