Will the umpires protect Mr McConnell tonight or will they not need to bother whith Justin struggling for form in recent weeks... ???

Will be interesting to see how he goes tonight, generally steps up in the big games from what I've seen and heard so the Dogs need to be wary of him coming back into form tonight.

Interesting article in the Sunday Mail about Justin McConnell yesterday. Mentioned that with his work for the SANFL he got the gig to umpire in the Power Cup (competition for Indigenous women) as the curtain raiser Friday night to Port v Collingwood. Maybe with people questioning the protection, or lack of for that matter, by the men in white, Macca seems to have figured if he can't beat 'em, join 'em. Maybe now the SANFL officials will have more respect for him and give him a few more free kicks...

In all seriousness though, I'm sure the Bays fans were pleased to see Justin back in form down at Glenelg yesterday. After only managing 2 goals in his last 6 outings, the out of form match winner seems to be clicking back into gear at the right time of year bagging 5 against North Adelaide yesterday. Will be interesting to see if he can follow it up and maintain his return to form this week against the Eagles at Woodville...
