Fair call Jimmy. This is actually a pretty good pick up for the eagles. They seem a bit soft at time so this bloke is a hard in and under type player.

I think that puts it beyond doubt that Stokes and/or Ellis will both be definitely leaving then...

My mail is Ellis to Port and Stokes to the Dogs...

Think you might be rating Cooper a little TOO highly there...can't recall seeing Cooper finishing top 3 at the Magarey Medal as often as those two chaps have...

Maybe TB, but who can forget his outstanding effort against adversity in last year's First Semi against the Roosters.

Sturt deserve adequate compensation for a player of his calibre:)

Squizzy wasn't the only person Matt was frustrated with at Unley.

His attitude wasn't 100% from mid-season and that costly miss at NAP against the Doggies in the third quarter was a shocker for the SFC.

Sometimes the "trouble" players should be moved on...hence what Glenelg have done with Culpitt and Neely...despite their brilliance on the field...

Good pickup for the Eagles. Adds more midfield depth for them. I dont think hes as good as some people rate him...like him being rated the no.1 SANFL player at the start of the year by the Advertiser....but he is pretty good none the less. If the Eagles are to go the next step then I think their defence needs some working on

I think Cooper is better than Cicolella and Colville (Port Power certainly thought so) but he doesn't have the discipline that those two have.
I assume you mean Squires ego Tigerboss. As I have said before, there must have been other issues than the "alleged" one as why would you give up a player with probably 3 good years left just to appease one who has probably played his last game. Unfortunately for some people, unless the r&"e word is involved, it isn't as big an issue as is being made out.

Was told on good authority RedandBlack,(certainly won't reveal who it was on this forum) that they were going to draft him in 2002 but because of the hearing damage he suffered in the Bali bombing, that never eventuated.
Can understand why those two are considered better but I guess that is Matt's fault as he didn't join Sturt until he was 24 and I bet he will spend more time on the ball there next year than what others would care to admit.
