Well done Westies on a great win, their 2nd for the season...

FINAL SCORES:
West Adelaide : 12.18 = 90
South Adelaide : 3.8 = 26

Final margin, 64 points in favour of the visitors. Good to see Thiele and Westies Sarge sing the song loud and proud with the boys on the TV...

Alright, I got the score wrong, SORRY...

Great win by West today. I enjoyed this one immensely...

I was impressed with the debut of Silverlock, though he didn't get much of the ball after half-time. The Rowe's were good, as was Caire, Morris, and a host of other kids.

The game of Cupido was perhaps the best I have seen...Ferguson was outstanding with some sensational contested marks down back, and McCormack got the Bloods going through the middle early. Piasente bobbed up in the third with three very telling goals and worked hard to tackle and apply pressure all day.

The Rowe injury looked rather obscure, so hopefully it is not as serious as it appeared...

For the good that West was, South were pretty ordinary. They seemed to lack any heart and had few leaders all day...I thought Torney and Otten were very good, and Boyd had a strong first term, but barely got near the pill in the final three quarters. Ellis worked hard in the second half and would have finished with 6-7 marks in a good lead-up capacity, and even spent some time down back...Redigolo and Rolfe, among many of the other youngsters, had good starts, but as soon as Westies got on top, there were few South players that stood up to change the flow of the game...

Great saying g'day to R&B and Westies_Sarge today...I must admit when both you boys said that West would win today, I didn't really actually think you were right. Goes to show your faith in your boys is very strong...congratulations Westies and enjoy the victory.

If West put together something similar to today's performance in their clash with the Legs, they can cause a bit of an upset. I wouldn't expect Norwood to drop that one, but West showed today that they can play some good, quality footy.

A really good day for the bloods the reserves won and the league a first for the year :) . Our back half were absolutely fantastic keeping the panthers to 3 goals, 2 of which were kicked by the full back.

Ryan Ferguson was outstanding at CHB and Cupido's run was awesome all day. What a difference 2 targets make in a forward line. We looked to have a much better forward structure with Tippett and Willits today. Piasente and Morris were very good and Lenny Clark had his best game of the year. A good day all round for us bloods and hopefully the players get some confidence from it and can carry that form for the rest of the year.

Injuries to Greg Rowe and Nathan Brown were the only lowlights of an otherwise great day. :(

I was only going by the final score given on 5RPH and on the ABC televised broadcast...

I'm sure it will be confirmed a some stage...

south looked very good in the first 8-10 minutes & looked inept after that, west took control of the game from that point & were never ever going to lose & they had winners allover the ground including rowe, tippet, silverlock, munn, morris (does a handball to yourself count as a stat ?), ferguson, piasente (especially after half time) & cupido (who to me look as if he was trying to show his old club that they should have kept him)

west today looked like a side that has won more games than they have they were pretty good

south today as i said looked inept after the first 8-10 minutes & why oh why would they go so wide when kicking with a strong breeze is beyond me

WEST 12.18.90

RESERVES

SOUTH 4.10.34

WEST 12.11.83

Great effort by the Bloods. Their attack on the ball was double South's all day.

Well done to Cupido too. He cops a lot (probably because he should be playing like he did today week in week out). At his best he's a joy to watch.

I know it was only against South, but that performance must give the Bloods fans some real hope that things will turn around in the next couple of years.

Did the crowd reach 1,000 today? It looked pretty bloody quiet on the TV...
