Postby magpie in the 80's » Sat Aug 09, 2008 6:12 pm

Can Port continue their winning ways or will Sturt bounce back?

Agree James!

Sturt to regroup, train harder and repeat their record breaking two wins in one year at Alberton last year.

Hopefully we can regain Evans and Whiteman. Perrie also :D

Port will be a true indication as to whether we deserve to stay top if Glenelg succomb to the Mighty roosters at CRO.

Will be at this game, looking forward to what should hopefully be a good contetst...

Think Sturt will be keen to avenge last weeks poor form from the loss to the Redlegs...

For mine, Sturt by 23 points...

And for once* in my life - "Come on Glenelg beat North!"

*Not true actually I claimed to be a Glenelg support when I was 7 or 8 because I knew what a palindrome was and liked it.
Before that I claimed to be a Sturt supporter because my older sister disliked blue and I liked to tease.
It was only when I sarted going to football with my older sister at 12 or so I saw the true light and started to follow Norwood - she was a John Marriott fan.

What will be interesting is whether Chambers will be thinking from an individual perspective, wanting to kick his 100 goals inside 3 weeks.
Knowing he's got a hamstring injury, will he ignore the rest required & make himself available for this weeks game & risk further damage or will he rest until after the bye the following week?
This decision may determine the result of this weeks game especially if Pierre's unavailable.

Beating Port is improtant and Chambo is a required player so i would suggest he would play if better than 50 50.....

Should be a tough game hopefully the weather fines up and we can run and carry the footy.
