Surely the SANFL programming must focus on attracting the maximum crowd possible.
Glenelg have a recent history of good crowds on a sunday and as others have said head to head with a live Crows telecast will have a significant impact on a Glenelg vs North crowd.

Makes sense....

But to the game, think the Bays will get up by about 28 points.

Hopefully the wet slog took it out of the Cocks today, and they haven't
done two weeks of good performing in a row for a while...

Hopefully the weather clears up for another good crowd at the Bay...

Makes perfect sense.
Play the game on Saturday for real football fans and when Glenelg get a record crowd to a game.
Play the game on a Sunday and get a couple of thousand less.

Freaking morons. Honestly, no idea.
Im very critical of North at times and I'll be just as critical of other clubs when they make retarded decisions such as this. NO need to take into account people with real jobs that have to fly all over the country every week, as long as they look after the unemplOyed bums that can get to Sunday games, that's all that counts. MORONS!!!
Its no wonder they can't get night games happening if their members vote in morons that elect to have Sunday games when people with real jobs are flying out to the rest of the country to start the working week. :?

Nup, I'm all in favour of the game being played on Sunday this week...

Caught the North vs. Dogs game...North were gritty, tough, hard at it...

Younie was outstanding...

Hopefully we can continue our recent run of success against North...but there will be no one taking this one lightly...particularly after we have only won one game in the past month...

The only pleasing thing to come out of the Crows smashing Richmond was the fact that Gill is likely to get another week with the Crows, so he won't be an extra forward for our defence to worry about...

Damn Java 2EE+ course in Brisbane!!
Still, if Glenelg had a Saturday afternoon game like every club with half a brain and half a care for REAL football fans and not bandwagonners then it wouldn't have been an issue.
Im sure there's at least a couple of thousand like me.
IF the crowd is 6k, it would have been 8k on the Saturday.
Stupid morons, still if they could administer a club they'd be looking after someone other than Glenelg!
Morons.
"Instead of sending sympathy cards to people wtihout jobs the Glenelg Football Club should show some sympathy to those people who have jobs."
Morons.

I think that you will find that the people that the cards were sent to-THE PLAYERS-are all gainfully employed.

Speaking of the sympathy cards, I found it interesting to read that there was an article in "The Goss" from the back of the footy lift out from today's Advertiser about these cards and how it supposedly backfired on Glenelg having lost the game to Centrals.

Bit pointless writing that 2 weeks after the incident, old news now one would think...

I think we just about managed ok without him last we TB. But of course that was in the mud. Drier conditions and he would be a handy in.

Any side with Gill AND Alleway is a very dangerous side...

Throw Damon White into that mix and that's arguably the best forward line in the comp, rivalling Coad, Chambers and Perrie at Sturt, or Grima, Duldig and McConnell at the Bay...
