When people talk about great coaches in the SANFL, Hosking's name rarely, if ever, comes up.
But his record is magnificent.
Excluding the War Years he coached teams to five premierships (Port 1921, 1928, Torrens 1933, Port 1936, 1937) and four runners-up (West 1922, Port 1929, 1930, 1938).
