Ahh, the tradition of getting KFC after a North game this week.

Dogs too much class, firepower and confidence. North not without hope I guess, but I think a dogs win by 100+ is more likely. Dogs by a comfortable 12 goal margin though I think.

I don't know so much about people tipping a big Doggies win. As much as North have been up and down all year, they still have a quality side and I think the thing that will prevent a big 10 goal win to the visitors, like some are assuming, will be the weather conditions. Initial forecast is for 13 degrees and showers so the ball will be wet and heavy, the cricket pitch will be a bog and it will make ot a slog fest so to speak. Think the wet conditions might just suit the Doggies a little better and although I would not be suprised at all if North got up, I will tip the Dogs to get up by about 4 goals in a close one.

Maybe I should tip Andrew Jarman's side by a decent margin and like last week, where I tipped Glenelg by 7 goals, just like last Saturday night, I might just get the opposite result again and see Roy Laird's side win by the same amount. For me, Centrals by 22 points...

Here's what I said over on the Central v Glenelg preview thread before Saturday nights game, how wrong I was (and bloody glad to be wrong  )

A not so confident Big Phil, at the time wrote:Now I think I'm leaning towards the Bays by 7 or 8 goals, but again, that's with my head, not my heart and of course, I will be stoked if I'm proved wrong and we pinch an unlikely win...

I was in the Prospect area for work today and popped my head in for a look at the oval. It was an absolute bog in the middle and there were a few puddles in some pockets. Also, the conditions aren't getting any better either with the forecast for more rain up to and including the weekend so I don't think the ground is going to hold up too well and get any better.

I say all this because I think the conditions will make the game a hell of a lot closer and a 74 point result, although would be nice, is highly unlikely. Like i said earlier, will be a real slog feast and think the Doggies will just be strong enough to get over the line by under 4 goals. AFL selections could play an interesting part for both sides this week as well ???

I think people are getting a bit carried away. Sure we beat Glenelg but up 'til then, we had been playing some pretty crappy footy. North are all over the place like a mad woman's hairdo, so anything could happen. I still think that we will win but it will be a tough match. I probably won't remember too much, as I will be pissed, thanks to The Roosters President's Lunch & Wally Karpuik.

So it looks more like 74 points will win the game rather than Centrals winning by 74 points, though we have given North at least one belting a year for about the last 10 years, hence the 74 point margin I predicted
