Harsh... rest of the season out..... but I suppose after the truth came out and them making Eddie McQuire, Mick Malthouse and the rest of the Collingwood Football Club look like such fools... they had it coming.

Yes, it was Fox Sports - I did notice they got the club wrong, but forgot to change it when I copied it across!

Maybe the journos at Fox have got used to putting Carlton when it comes to controversey, that they mistakenly did it again! Punk will feel vindicated now that it isn't always Collingwood!

HEATH Shaw and Alan Didak have been suspended by Collingwood Football Club for the remainder of the season.

Shaw was involved in a car acident and returned a blood alcohol level of 0.14 and was charged with drink driving.

The fine of $10,000 remains for Shaw and Didak has received a $5000 for his part in the incident.

Ryce Shaw has also been suspended for two weeks and fined $5000 for his part in the drinking session on Sunday night.

Maybe in future the game will owe a debt to Heath Shaw and Alan Didak because with the profile and public humiliation these guy have had to endure, just maybe the message will finally get through to these brain dead footballers that they have expectations placed on them by society, clubs, sponsors, supporters, etc, and they are expected to conform.

I really don't think it is too much to ask of anyone signing a 6 figure contract to behave in a disciplined fashion, both on and off the field. I've said it before ... if these guys want to play football and go out drinking whenever they feel like it, then there are plenty of amatuer clubs out there who would be glad to have them.

The moment you decide to become an elite sportsman, you are expected to behave like one. There are some very good lads busting their guts in the SANFL who would kill for the opportunities given to Didak, and they must wonder what it's all about.

You'd think so mate, but someone could score themselves a real bargain here if as expected all clubs cling to their draft picks .. No there's no question he's a top shelf player.

But none of us on this forum are getting paid (at least) $150Gs a year to act with a bit of intelligence.

How convenient for you but I thought the primary purpose for their being well paid was their football ability. Money doesn't buy intellect or common sense and clearly they are just as vulnerable to indiscretions as you or I
