The only ones to back Ernie up was the North Grog squad against his own supporters!

Proabably cause Weslo wouldn't do anything to evict members of a group (NGS), where as if a single supporter told them off, they'd probably end up being evicted being an easier target. I mean, if these "fans" were abusive like that to Ernie, it wouldn't matter who came up to them to tell them off.

Sounds a bit farfetched I know, but that's Weslos' style, pick on people who aren't really trouble makers (the peacemakers, elderly and children), and leave alone those who really are - i.e. those alleged racist comments last week.

I dunno... Didn't they kick a North fan out of the Bay a few weeks ago?

sarge did you guys or your club report this "racial abuse" formally to your club or to the SFC? If this abuse has happened then you should, if you haven't reported it directly to your club and then to SFC then give it a break! From the VERY little I know Sturt have had no official complaint.
On this topic of abuse on the ground, I'm not overly convinced of how it works...mainly in the AFL sense but of course it filters down to the SANFL, you can racially abuse someone and be in trouble, yet, you can know that playerA's girlfriend has slept with playerB from the same club and as an opponent you can niggle at him and get away with it, to me it's just as bad. But I'm a white Aussie male so I'm not in the same mind frame as someone who's of a distinct ethnic minority. I'm also sure that if you had playerA who was gay and was verbally abused during a game about his sexual choices and he reported it, the offending player would be hauled over the coals no matter what his racial background. Where does it end?

I can remember Ernie when i was a kid in the early 80s going to watch Centrals and i saw him the other week when Centrals were belted at woodville for the 1st time in years. The only difference in him is that he walks a bit slower. He is as gentle as they come i honestly believe he would have been provoked so what else is he suppose to do? This is the same harmless bloke that when he walks past the ladies in the crowd, if you notice carefully he seems to acknowledge them by tapping the top of his glasses because he often doesnt have a hat on to tap. You know like in the old movies "Howdo you do Mam" sort of thing. True gentleman in my book and i hope he doesnt chuck it in and stop going! Shame on you Weslo.
Thats what im talkin aboooouuuut!!!!!!

I reakon Ernie should be the next coach of the Iggles...as coach, he'd have his own personal Weslo guard hanging around him at all times.

Or is that just Fuller shite?
