Johncock most likely to stay at Port.

Irrespective of this, I'll tip Norwood by three goals.

Actually, I'd disagree entirely with this. Burgoyne, bluntly, did not look interested for most of Saturday and didn't seem to be paying the competition a lot of respect a number of times. Johncock hit the ground running, did lots of the little things and was very impressive running through the lines. Johncock to go back to Adelaide, and Burgoyne to stay.

Hmmm...it'll be interesting to see what happens with both players.

Burgoyne's attitude does not surprise me. I was not aware of his performance in the Port vs. South game, but I would be very surprised if a player of his calibre was not an immediate return to the Power line-up...remember too, he was not dropped based on recent events, it was an event that happened over a month ago, pending his return from injury, so unless he is not fit enough to return to the Power, I'd expect to see him named for the Power.

Put it this way re. Burgoyne - at one stage, he hadn't been called on LIFE FM in general play for 45 minutes.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Especially now that Tredrea and Salopek are out for teh season. Irrespective of how he played - which was obviously a mental thing not based on performance/ability - someone of his experience you can see going straight back into the Port Power line up.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

If Burgoyne looked & prepared disinterested on the weekend that would quickly get back to Mark Williams therefore Choco would or SHOULD leave him with the Magpies & the Maggies should throw him in the two's.

I agree that is what should happen, but with C Cornes, Tredrea and Salopek out for the year Mark will want some experience in the side for the last five games.

Thats giving Burgoyne exactly what he wants, Chocko will show just how weak he is if he selects him.
Not a good example to set for the youngsters.

Why? The season is over. They know what Burgoyne can do because he's been there for 10 years. Put in the the Magpies B's and see if that shakes him out of his coma.

If it doesn't, then delist him...

perhaps he'll leave burgoyne down for a few weeks for 2 reasons the first to keep watching youngsters in the heat of battle (& hope they finish as low as they can for a better draft pick) & the 2nd to help port (magpies) firstly qualify & then to do some damage in the finals
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

I'd rather be looking at the younger ones while you have the opportunity, theres nothing to play for as far as finals but theres alot to gain as far as seeing what the youngsters have to offer, if there not up to scratch then they'll be traded or delisted end of year, i doubt whether its for draft picks & bayman the Power wouldn't do anything to help the Magpies qualify for finals, by the sounds of your quote your pannicking of the thought of meeting Port if they get there.

I don't know about Bayman but I for one would love them to make the finals and I would love to play them in a GF again, if we get there.

Bring it on I say.
