The Saunders/Boyd clash (100% legal) was one of the biggest I have ever seen in 30 years or so of watching SANFL. The whole stand applauded both players for their courage and rightly so. Saunders was involved in a similar bump against Central 2 weeks back and his courage has to be seen to be believed. Got straight back up and into the play. A player of massive importance to Port if they are to go deep into finals.

I mentioned around that time that J.Clayton may provide an awkward moment on Magarey night, in topping the voting but being ineligible to win. As with the Central game 2 weeks back, was so far and away the best player on the ground, it wasn't funny. His courage to keep getting back up after being flattened repeatedly was inspirational.

Someone mentioned Lobbe in the Reserves - his game was quite solid. Played a key forward role for parts of the game, with runs in the ruck also. Took some sound grabs and presented a number of times. Full credit to Vinnie Rugolo, after some difficult times recently. His 6 goals were full of class and his second half was massive. Matthew Smith had some game time in the 2's for South, and had some good moments when on.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Absolutely useless is a more accurate description I would have thought...

Decent first half from South, but after that it was pretty ordinary. The game plan and structure fell down completely. Port throughly deserved to win by that amount.

The Boyd/Saunders bump happened just in front of me on the wing..you could certainly feel it  8)

Best for South..Boyd (again), daylight, Sandery, Lade.
SAFC- 60 years...
StKFC- 58 years..
