At the end I thought were we going to pull another win from nowhere, but it wasn't to be. Ultimately, two turnovers in front of Sturts goals and we lose by 13 points.
Did anyone else hear that wanker on 5RPH after the game with that anti-Laird rubbish. I don't think he realises theres only 21 spots in the league side and when someone like Gowans is available for selection you cannot overlook him. Unfortunately, Haddin was the unlucky one to be dropped, but he'll be back in the league side in the not-too-distant future. Also, what was with that supporters are going to start a coup to get rid of Laird rubbish. I for one aint thinking we need a new coach.

I didn't hear him, but I think I've heard him before. A guy rang a couple of weeks ago getting stuck into Laird. I was listening to what he had to say until he started getting stuck into Callinan ... and it was Callinan's first game back from injury. The man's obviously a fool.
He supports a club who has won 6 flags in 8 years, and he's not happy.

Careful purch -

but beer then wine and you'll feel fine"

Appreantly so, but they were both pretty useless today..and today's game is what this thread is about. I have to say that I had never seen them both have so little influence on any game. Sturt had injuries today also. Feast, Coad, Evans, Sharples, Paynter...and they were quite rightly rested.

Lets have a look at this. One Gowans had his 1st league game back from injury, the other is carrying an injury whilst getting through a tough 4-5 week training programme.( for those that are unaware of what successful teams do this time of year is lift the workrate on the track in preparation for finals time) Time will tell who is and who isnt up and running in Sept, Oct action.
Very easy to throw stones at those who are passionate about their footy, but fact is those 2 will go down Central greats and would have easily fit into any other clubs lineups. Its also very easy to knock footballers who at their other end of their careers, maybe just sit back and think what they have done for Centrals and what they could have done if they were at your club since 2000. Have any of you ever actually had a beer with either of them? They are actually decent blokes and are very quick to buy you a beer back.
