Almost but not quite.

He was dropped from Sturts league side to the reserves, Mark Williams thought it was ridiculous so made him a late inclusion to the AFL side to play Melbourne that weekend instead.

No Danny Wicks or Charlie Sharples in the side Blue Boy ???

Is Ghost still injured or is he playing reserves, and as for Sturtpeter's friend Charlie, is he just struggling for form at the moment ???

So who are you suggesting might miss from the starting 18 named then mate ? Maybe Wark not 100% still or Jaensch will miss ???

Great to have Wark back, if he plays, I'd think he would. Rick M must be loving this Global Warming, with stuff all rain these days he's able to play all 4 big forwards Chambers, Coad, Herring and Perrie. Let's hope it doesn't rain too much Saturday! Haven't had the pleasure(?) of watching Centrals this year, do they have enough big men to cover our forward lines?
I noticed that against West last week the free count was 19 to 27 against Sturt, this was in a 10 goal win!!! Were we undisciplined or were the Umps helping West?
The team that can hit the ball and body hard without notice of the Umps will go a long way to winning this game, the Doggies will come out firing so we'll have to be on our game, and not be stupid in reacting as Centrals will need to be measured also. Sturt by 4 goals in a tough fought battle.

was a serious question surely it would be brought up by Roy, they need a good scalp, no use being flat track bullies and I hope they do it tomorrow, but I doubt it...

Yeah I know Dutchy, my response was just tounge in cheek hence the

It is a very valid point though about who our wins have been over this year and in reality, we have performed poorly against the 2 form teams of this year, Glenelg and Sturt. In saying that though, there has been a few "experts" in the media recently that have been saying Norwood have also been one of the form teams of the comp based on their performances in wins over the Eagles, Port, South and North. I still think we haven't reached anywhere near our full potential in terms of consistant playing ability but we have to get our act together with finals coming up and real quality sides will simply not let us off the hook as easily as we've recently experienced.

Listening to both Roy Larid and Paul Thomas in recent weeks, they have highlighted this exact point and say that the players are fully aware they have not played anywhere near their best against the top sides and until they do so, will not be considered as contenders. I think these next 2 weeks will be the real test for us and I think (and certainly hope) we will see a Dogs side who come out a lot more prepared to play 4 quarters of solid footy as a team and come mentally and physically prepared for the tough challenges that lie ahead.

I think we are a real chance to beat Sturt tomorrow but the onus is on our players to make sure they are switched on above the shoulders and willing to apply themselves consistantly to their best of their abilities. Alot of people are saying "don't write the Doggies off just yet" and while Iagree with them to a certain extend, it really does start this week for us in terms of the most crucial month of footy leading into finals. Next week against the Bays underlights at Elizabeth is going to be just as big a game as well and these 2 weeks have to be season defining almost.

ME - I saw you in the city today. Doing the same thing I was doing - looking for a budget (in one of the newsagencies at rundle mall). I was wearing a black suit with a purple tie (if you can remember every single person you saw today  ), would have come said hi and introduced myself but you scooted out of my eyesight :D

For those that haven't read the paper, here is the reserves side for the big clash with Sturt...

CENTRALS RESERVES:
Aufderheide, Boyle, Brading, Duncan, Dunne, Foldesdy, Giles, Hadden, Hynes, Kelly, McGee, McGrath, McShane, Officer, Porter, Shaw, Spurr, Steinberner, Whiley, White.

Interestingly, there is no Matthew Westhoff, who suprisingly was named in the extended 25 man squad with Port Power, to possible make his AFL debut alongside brother Justin. I highly doubt that Matty will go from SANFL reserves one week to AFL the week after, don't think that would have happened too often in the past ???

Surely, The Power are just playing selection funny buggers like all AFL clubs do these days and I am pretty confident the youngest Westhoff brother will line up at Unley Oval from 11.15am tomorrow morning. I must say, I was suprised that he didn't at least force his way into the league extended squad for Centrals this week, his form hasn't been too bad in the 2's.

Well, we will just have to wait 'til tomorrow morning now wont we. I think our reserves side looks pretty strong and with the return of Hadden (and probably Moss) from the league side, they will have a good chance to topple The Double Blue Magoos (who I think are top of the ladder ?) Will be 2 cracker games of footy down at Oxford Terrace tomorrow, so get along and support local footy.
