Don't wish to be too negative but West were a disgrace AGAIN yesterday. Poorly coached, poor quality playing group, lack of on field discipline and structure and ..... no-one turned up to watch the game. Then again, in fairness, why would you?

Margarylegend ....you are only correct on one point....poor quality playing group. As for a team that's poorly coached you have got to be kidding. 15 players under the age of 25...5 of them from the under 19's, a very inexperienced side...i dare any coach to do better.
On field structure and discipline??? Under Andy Collins, undisciplined players will be playing b grade or shown the door.
No one turned up??? Just over 2000 in what was supposed to be a very ordinary day weather wise. There were more there than another SANFL game..for a team that's on track for it's 4th wooden spoon in a row i would say the amount West' supporters who turn up every week are higher in numbers than what Sturt, Glenelg, North had in comparison when they were down in the gutter and struggling.
Who would turn up??? true club supporters turn up.

I think there were more at Richmond than at Prospect, and there were a lot of West supporters there to join the 1983 celebrations.

It's good to see you maintaining your reputation for knowing nothing about football, ML.

For someone who didn't know who Peter Walsh was, you haven't improved.

(Unless you're trolling, of course).

On at least three occasions Cupido went completely mad at his own players for not kicking the ball to him (the first instance was about 2 minutes into the game). On each occasion swearing, singling out the kicker and completely ignoring the ball. How on earth is that possibly good for a side full of "players under the age of 25"?

Pretty harsh call...

I think that the age and quality of the playing group is a big factor in their results.

The West team I saw play Saturday seemed a lot more committed and accountable than the one that took the field at Unley earlier this year...

I see this Sturt side developing into one of the Powers of the SANFL, just like Port, Central etc.

Depth of players, self-belief, fitness, dedication to the Jumper. :D

Sturt Peter is known for his drivel.

I'm sure evey supporter would love their sides be as successful as the ones mentioned above but beating the bottom team by 10 goals is hardly a springoboard for 6 flags in a row.

Cupido has been one of our best players this year by far.

But is that good work undone by his attitude?

From a West supporter's view, having seen most of Cupido's games this year, his form has been pretty good and his discipline and attitude have also been good.

I think there's a bit of judging on reputation from afar here.
