We can't seem to get that 4 from 4 this season. Apart from the first lot of Norwood matches.

I forgot to add that the 17s were about 40 points down in the 2nd Qtr.

I hear the eagles have talked to quite a few new players ,also that rodgers is leaving at the end of the year thank god every one hopes fullasaboot goes with him.

i wonder if u would have posted this if it wasnt for a gilly inspired come back came. fair dinkum mate u have had it pretty good since ron took over , who would u have as his replacement?

IMO ron has done a great job.

To quote family members of one former assistant coach now coaching at a team with Blue in it  .Ron was awful in the coaching box to set in his ways would not try new things .Unless his then 2 assistant coaches ganged up on him .This was in 2006 and we are all fairly sure who really won that flag.
One of these two assistants was also very unhappy with the coaching staff at Prospect !!!
Perhaps both WWT and NA missed out on new young coaches a couple of years ago.

Yes we are grateful to Ron, but like Bruce Winter who had an ending very much like Rons .Its time for a change next year a new broom new ideas and get the cheque book out .
Needed Fullforward the current one is going home according to everyone.
On ballers needed not in the biagi mode thank you.
Tall defedners who will not get drafted by afl clubs in the 23 to 25 yo range.
Small forwards once prolific now almost extinct .

And who would replace Ron .No idea but Pyemans name keeps coming up !!
Cheers

Pyman WTF no way!

I am not saying he should be coach but that name keeps coming up .I have no idea who it will be

Dont worry you have plenty of supporters at your club that are Anti ANJ as well. I have been reading and hearing about it for weeks.

He got South into the finals.
Getting South in the finals is the same as winning 10 flags at any other club.

Pyman would be a good fit IMHO.

I would say that would make him look attractive to any club who is looking for a new coach.
He has finals in his resume .

After half time:

Overall possessions: North 179, W/WT 120
Marks inside att.50: North 8, W/WT 2
Marks inside def. 50: North 12, W/WT 9

I don't really think he will go back to the crows .Macgregor was an emergenacy for todays game .If Gill was going to play today would have been the day IMHO.and IMHO again he excels at SANFL level but like so many others on the crows list the next step is to big for him.
And before North fans rip strips off me the same applies to Kenny Macgregor .

Yeah, that's why he's played 150+ AFL games...

His body is shot now, but Ken's best footy was for the Crows a few years ago and he had no trouble at all with the step up to the next level.

That looks a hell of a lot better than the way it did in 2004! I reckon it was something like 30 and 10 at one stage.

Well I am upsetting people today aren't I
Totally agree with you Aerie up to the point that Ken fell out of favour with the Crows Coach .And the fact that the crows lost 2 players to the Western bulldogs and needed a tall forward to be kept on the list.
BUT the best thing is he is an EAGLES man through and through and up to the port game was producing some of his best footy for the club.
The AFL has past him IMHO but he is certainly up to SANFL .

And Clearly at Prospect Saturday Ken got injured at some point .He went off was being tested on the sidelines and did not really get back into the game.

The Eagles are a tired and jaded club at present. There is no spark on or off the field.
I have been a Ron supporter for all of his tenure but believe now that his message is not getting through. The trademarks of Eagles footy the past 10 years namely accountability, efficiency of ball movement, structure, intensity, skill and competitiveness are all slowly eroding away as we haven't replenished our stocks sufficiently and those premiership players that are left (10) on Saturday are left to do too much and look jaded.
I would be talking to Luke Norman BIG time. He has served his apprenticeship at several clubs now, knows the Eagles set up and is respected by the players there.

Sadly it's curtains for the Eagles this season and our current position is quite an under achievement. At Prospect in all due respect, North were terrible for most of the first half and the Eagles were ok but a bit lacklustre. The opportunity was there to have the game iced at half time but the Eagles just cannot play good enough footy to put teams away. As soon as North got a bit of mojo happening the Eagles showed how fragile we have become. Our skills which are ordinary crashed further and we looked like dead men walking for most of the second half. Despite all our talls we could not find anyone for Gill and we played a junior and a wingman on him, this really hurt as a lot of his possesions came without a lot of pressure. Hopefully we can play the year out strongly and I expect to see a couple more juniors elevated for this weeks game.

MacGregor was in the game??? He was absolutely towelled up by Alleway from the start and he wasn't injured then. Other than conceding almost every one on one contest to Alleway the only other option MacGregor had was to give away a free kick. Poor old Kenny, it even looked like the SANFL had passed him by on Saturday.

Alleway's contribution to the game was enormous and he was the best big man on the ground, kept us in it in a poor first half by the chooks and it was his presence that eventually allowed enough space for Gill to get going after half time.
