I'll have to check the club record for that, the overall record is 33.

In the game I saw, Glenelg was a class above South, put more pressure on the forward lines, and would have outscored South by more if not for sloppy finishing, some committed South defence, and a goal umpire with an obviously inadequate optical benefits plan. South only went forward a couple of times - the best that could be said for them is they made the most of their chances.

However I got to the game just as the final quarter began. From all reports the earlier three quarters played out quite differently!

Congrats to South, hope the fans live it up. Did anyone take up the $11 on offer?

The only other thing I can say, having not seen most of the game, is that I'm glad the Bays won't meet South in the finals!

Actually South love playing the Bays, and put extra efforts into these clashes, have to admit there have been quite a few that have not gone according to plan, if you think Port and Nwd have something going between them, South and Glenelg have as well, it is a rivalry equall to any others in the SANFL, where it dosent attract as much publicity as others is, that Glenelg have to many bandwaggoners and South just cant attract the followers each week, so small crowds don't make Profits or help sell newspapers, and those who promote the SANFL games either through print or radio are only interested in the big numbers that can be generated.

Todays game had a lot going for it, if you were a visitor to our game you would have enjoyed it till the end, it was close all day, the scores were high, there were strong marking, solid tackles, long kicking, clever ball handling, and without gloating, South won, what else could make me happy
