I'm glad I'm the first post for this thread, because the first thing you'll see upon entering this thread on the first page is that quote from me in the preview.

The writing was on the wall even late in the second quarter. I knew what was coming in the third, as has happened for the past four out of 5 matches between the clubs, it did.

Unbelievable. Just a terrible game today. Gill was the difference in the 2nd half and the match winner. The umpiring was terrible, as usual...

Klun was probably our best player. Salter was good as was Powell.

Time for some changes and a new era at the Eagles. It's not working any more.

There are three teams on the ground my friend.

Us, Them & the Umps.

You must beat two teams to win a game of footy...

I agree stampy, the xnouts ;) hill should know that you should be able to win a match without the umpires help.

Eagles Reserves won 14.12 to 8.13. Nothing like the League winning though... It's up to the Reserves and 19s to bring some joy this year I think.

Just saw CH9 news and they showed vision of AJ in the coaches box, hands cupped around his mouth doing the Rooster cockle-doodle-doo or whatever roosters do. Now, I try not to bag other teams and coaches too much but does this guy have any perspective on his clubs season to date? Bit too much f#@king around and no results! Saying that I'm going on what Bicks has read and vision..no audio, didn't look good though.
Did anyone see it on the telecast?

First quarter was great by after that we went missing again .
Not good enough guys sorry but the era has ended its 98 again .Start playing some younger guys like Jolly Arbon Paps Stapples etc.
Jarman started with plan B in the first quarter and flooded. Fuller didn't have a plan B.Kick the ball to passador and hope someone can crumb a goal not very GOOD Ron even blind freddie could counter that!!!!!!
Not good enough again and Westies must start as Favourites next week !!!

Umpires were terrible but Im constantly amazed at how many people have absolutely no idea when it comes to the rules of our game, I spent a quarter in the outer and the Eagles fans ramblings were embarassing, they abuse Richard Williams for a bad decision when he's down the other end of the ground 100 metres away, when I point this out to them they have a go at me for wearing a blue top and ask I have dresses in my closet at home, WTF?
There was lots of kids around so I didn't say anything or start anything.
Then spent the last quarter amongst North supporters who were equally as bad in their understanding of the rules of the games.
90% of SANFL fans are no better than Crows supporters when it comes to their understanding of the game and the rules, I can look at games fairly objectively and am amazed at how dumb the comments are.
Having said that, the frees were something like 29-18 in favour of North, there's no doubt North got the good end of the stick which helped but the better team did win today, that's all I really care about when it comes to umpiring and the result of a game.

Great to see Gilly get back in touch today (and reported for an attempted mark), even though he hadn't done much to half time I did mention to one Roost poster that he looked more confident and it was a matter of time before he took a game by the scruff of the neck, sure enough he did and it was great to see! :D

First half of footy was atrocious, North can't get too carried away its not like we beat a team in the top 5 and the Eagles are our bitches so beating them yet again in a close game is no surprise. :D

Sorry Aerie you can not blame just the umps .Ron played Broadbent on Gil when a move was needed he put Luke Jarrad on him a much worse coaching move .To much move taken away from the wing.
Not enough League players recruited to the club!!
Not enough imagination showed in the Eagles coaching box once more!!
Not enough guts, determination etc on the field or in the coaches box. Only guts shown by fans who go and watch what is dished up as quality football every week.
Not good enough Woodville West Torrens Football club changes are needed from the head down !!!!!!!!!!!!(here I go again aghhhh)

I was amazed at how anti Fuller the Eagles fans in the outer were, if they weren't abusing me for my dress sense they were abusing Richard Williams or Ron Fuller. Made Jars and North fans seem like best friends! :D
