Port '88 & '98 Premiership Reunion

Postby pipers » Thu Jul 17, 2008 9:27 pm

Is on this Saturday evening...

I can't attend as it is my dad's birthday on the same night (and he's a Norwood man, so I can't expect him to tag along). Will be enjoying a nice curry at British India instead...

Would appreciate a report from anyone who might be attending (Booney, Macca ?)

they serve food at gigs now?

As for the reunion just imagine a lot of men who used to have mullets but are now bald. Except Rohan Smith who's gone the opposite way.

I got invited to this but unfortuantely it fell on the same night as an Angels concert. :(
Would be a great night too.

Wow, with a Port gig and an Angels concert on the same night, perhaps the 19th is the chance for all the Eastern Suburbs folk to venture north-west and get back all their stolen DVD players and laptops...

It must get boring for Port Magpies fans to hold so many premiership reunion functions...

Wish my club had more of these. :( I blame Port.

The Bays have 3's, 4's, 5's and 6's covered. But are lacking Premiership reunions for the other years. 8's would be a good start (even though Port have 8's as well).

Of course, the Dogs have '00, '01, '03, '04, '05 and '07s covered... :D

I look forward to the next 4 or 5 years where we can finally have premiership reunions of our own. Wouldn't mind throwing an '08 and '09 in there along the way as well but there is still a long way to go before that happens...

Wish my club had that many premiership reunions that I forgot which year we were celebrating each year.

If we were to celebrate losing GF's, then we'd have countless evenings of morbidity down the Bay...

Strong rumour doing the rounds that Sturt's Jarrod Twitt will be a guest of honour at the function......

If it wasn't for his 0.5 and one out on the full this function would only be an '88 Premiership Reunion!!

We all do.
Mind you, Sturt have been doing a roaring trade with their 40 years anniversaries of the great '60s teams ,so I cant whinge.
Afterall, Port were also responsible for three of those flags.

That's a bit of an over exaggeration mate, every time, I don't think so... :?

Okay, maybe every second time you log on, I'll admit that then...

I tried a stupid looking monkey with glasses but it looked a bit dumb, so I went back to a good one of our great coach... :D

Don't worry TB, I'll stick with this one for a while now I'd say mate

Sorry lads, not going, but my Mum is.

Knowing what she is like I can assure you notes will be taken, pictures will be taken (although it will take her a week or two to get the photographs developed  ) and there will be some feedback on here.

Any Port supporter that doesn't have the excuse of already having Angels tickets tonight is not a true Port supporter.
Might as well as follow the Power with that sort if inept bandwagon effort.
