You think he should or you are praying he does?

MAL is definitely not Malcolm. Malcolm is a serial caller to 5AA who is heavily involved with Payneham Cricket Club and umpiring underage footy for Tim Weatherald's employer.

I'm not praying he does sqwark, I just think he is the inform Crow in the SANFL, he's a forward kicking goals and even before Burton and to a lesser extent Porplycia, were injured, Neil Craig's team were struggling to kick enough six pointers to win a game. He deserves his chance.

Walker hasn't played league against us yet having played in the 2's out at Elizabeth earlier in the year, but I'd be confident in the abilities of either Andrew Hayes, Yves Sibenaler or Daniel Havelberg for that matter to match up and quell Tex's influence if he does play for the Legs.

The forward line player that we seem to have had trouble matching up on in the past has been Jamie Vlatko, who I think is fairly underrated. Is he fit for selection this week or is the hammy issue going to keep him out of action again this week ???

If both Taylor Walker and Jamie Vlatko play, then I might be a little less confident of a Doggies win. If both miss the game due to AFL selection and injury, then I'd be quietly confident of a win to my team.

I would be anticipating a NFC side that will include as ins Campbell, Vlatko and Puopolo. Plus our captain is playing his 150th this week. A big week ahead for us. Lookout!

As I have said on the Norwood site, Walker needs to see out this season with the Legs before being risked at AFL level...

I don't think playing someone that is the form forward in the SANFL at a higher level as a RISK Psyber, I think it more common sense and in essence, how the system works. An interstate player gets recruited to one of the Adelaide based AFL clubs, is then picked up by an SANFL club and plays with them until their form warrants selection at the higher level.

Right now, the Adelaide Crows injury situation perhaps opens a door for Taylor a little sooner than what the norm would suggest, but there are plenty of examples of players in years gone by that have been in similar situations to that of Tex and the young lads have gone on to hold their own and perform, in some instances, beyond expectations. I keep reffering to the Justin Westhoff example because I see so many similarities with Taylor in terms of coming on to the scene and suprising people

You're not a greedy Legs fan that wants Taylor Walker to not reach his full potential and play AFL this year because you want him in your side for the rest of the season, are you now Pysber

I say Neil Craig should pick him this week for the Showdown, he'll do alright and might just suprise a few people... (Plus that way, he wont play against Centrals !! 8) )

Westoff - great first season, mediocre since. Could that be exactly what the Crows want to avoid?

Westhoff - great first season, game on in leaps and bounds, exceeded all expectation and played a part in getting his side into an AFL Grind Final (disregarding the result in that  )...

Gees, I reckon the Crows would take getting into the AFL Grand Final this year mate, especially considering the position they are in at the moment with injuries and lack of form

IT'S SIMPLE MATE...

ADELAIDE:

Ins: Walker, Jericho

Outs: Not Massie or Campbell

GO THE REDLEGS HEY !!!???

NOT... !!!

GO U DOGGIES...

Westhoff had a great 2/3rds of a season, went missing after Rnd 18 and regularly shat himself, especially in the finals, even in their big win!

Sorry Dutchy, I think your post is taking this thread a little off track...

Back on track, I read with interest that Scott Dutschke may be back for Centrals this week, which will be good as we could do with a bit more toughness around the ball, and an extra crumber up forward for the predicted wintery, slippery conditions.

The article was more about Chris Gowans, in today's paper, and made mention of the fact that he is returning to full training after recovering now from his knee injury. Roy Laird said he will not play against Norwood, although he mentioned on the 5AA Sunday night show that he might try and have a run in the 2's maybe.

I'm still quietly confident of a Doggies win but with predicted wet weather, will stick by margin of about 3 goals...

No, and I'm sending the Crows and Power a list of the players they should use for the rest of the season.
Massie should be dropped to the SANFL too, and Jericho is a natural SANFL level player like Campbell...

Bassett and Rodan and Lower could all benefit from a run in the SANFL too, Psyber. Put them on your list as well.

  8)

That would be handy for the Dogs with Daniel Schell going down with a groin strain...

Spoke to Thommo out at the Central v North U/15's game down at Prospect, said Schelly was having a scan today to determine the extend of the damage, but fingers crossed it is only a small strain... :?

Seriously? With his wife having a baby this week, he must be copping a fair bit from the boys for his groin strain!

Would Chris Gowans, or even James for that matter, play reserves football? I couldn't see that happening myself. I don't think that they would've played any reserves football in their time at centrals, cue spelly. I think sitting out the extra week and not having his pride dented by playing reserves would sit better with Chris.
