What's so hard to believe about it mate, I've done a few Around The Grounds reports over the phone and was a live to air Boundary Rider on the weekend in the Central v Port game. :D 8)

This may come as a suprise to you, but I was actually asked to do it by people in the know after they liked the way I reviewed games on here. I can assure you (and people that have heard me, I hope will agree) that I have been non-bias and reported as a "nuetral" supporter, making sure to leave my Dogs hat off at all times. I've been told that I have done a pretty good job so far

Unlike some posters on here mate, I am not a Keyboard Warrior and have a pretty good knowledge of the SANFL and all things Centrals to back up my opinions on these certain topics 8) :D

Based on a few discussions on this thread, I thought I would try and make up "All Star" team of Centrals players currently in the AFL. Obviously we only have 14 players so that leaves me 7 short. Thought I would make up the numbers with players that have been in the AFL system from Centrals over the last 4 or 5 seasons. Should be able to just make up a team based on this. (Recent ex AFL players marked with a *)

Centrals:

FF: Travis Varcoe (Geelong) Justin Westhoff (Pt Adel) Michael O'Loughlin (Sydney)

HF: Alan Obst (Nth Melb) Matthew Westhoff (Pt Adel) Peter Vardy (Melbourne)

C: James Moss (Adelaide) Eddie Sansbury (Nth Melb) Stuart Dew (Hawthorn)

HB: Brad Symes (Adelaide) Stuart Cochrane* (Port Adel.) Cam Faulkner* (W.Bulldogs)

FB: Shannon Hurn (West Coast) Nathan Grima (Nth Melb) Paul Thomas* (Essendon)

R: Jonathon Giles (Pt Adel) Jay Nash (Essendon) Sam Butler (West Coast)

I: Luke McCabe* (Hawthorn) Daniel Schell* (Adeelaide) Adrian Wilson* (Essendon)

Not a bad team that, with a nice belnd of youth and experience. Most players are in their general position they usually play(ed) in.

I did notice that you reported a lot more on the Central interchange activity than on Ports. Were Centrals just more active with the interchange Big Phil ? Serious question btw.

Bugger, forgot about him, can I claim him as NT and North Melbourne?
Not sure how I could forget about him, he's the only bloke that wears teal that can play the game.

Yeah, I know Jimmy....

It's all good mate, I just forgot to put a few  on the end of my first line, implying I was just being sarcastic myself...

Usually I'm the smiley king, but this time, left some out, which I added above, so I can see how it came across as having the sarcasm detector fully switched off, I guess

Corey Jones, Nth Melb. for Sturt played in the 1998 GF, Maybe 2 years for the Blues, but seriously if we're going to be counting players like this then what's the point?

Ok, thanks for that, because that's all AFL 2008 had him under the clubs. And I have updated subpols' addition.

I'll give it a go for Norwood, using both mini-draft picks who have played for Norwood in 2008 and one ex-AFL player who plays for Norwood (Gags), as top-ups. Not fair to name the retired Hugh Minson in a side.

Backs: Patfull, Harley, Bassett
Half-backs: Nick Lower, Grundy, Crouch
Centre: Aaron Kite, Burns, James Gallagher
Half-forwards: Jericho, Cockshell, Campbell
Forwards: Wonaeamirri, Taylor Walker, Pfeiffer
Rucks: Will Minson, Kris Massie, Fosdike
Interchange: Cleve Hughes, Ed Lower, Gavin Hughes.

Just to get a rise out of people: I'd take a punt that this side would touch up the Centrals and West efforts! (Although the West is the better of the two.)

That's a pretty handy looking Redlegs side you've got there SimonH

Although it will never happen, would make for interesting games based on this format wouldn't it

You'll get a rise out of me, Simon :) No neutral observer would think that side would get close to the West team (even ignoring the 'ring-ins'. I'll go out on a limb and say that Tuck and Cooney might have an edge on Massie and Fosdike. Rutten might be slightly better credentialled than Taylor Walker and I'd back Sam Fisher against Pfeiffer, etc, etc.

Of course, we're happy to have lent you Luke Jericho to help fill your team.

West Adelaide 51-60.
