SANFL Under 15 State Championships

Anyone know the Metro results from Woodville Oval today?

At Unley Oval, Norwood belted Sturt by about 14 goals and Centrals beat South by 2 points.

Good to see the benefits of being in the Robert Zarella Academy is paying dividends for some of the young Centrals lads, Smac... :D

Is there a programme of when and where the games are bing played, might be able to snaek a peak being out on the road as a rep

We play tomorrow morning at Elizabeth Oval, then Wednesday morning at Prospect Oval.

And there's a lot more to this side than the academy.

Didn't stick around for the North/Sturt game today at Elizabeth.

Dogs lost to Norwood by 5 goals, played terribly. Hopefully that is our bad one out the way. Thankfullyl we play at Prospect tomorrow and I don't have to get out of bed as early.

Would be nice if the SANFL did a bit of promotion of these games, there are plenty of supporters from all clubs who have the time to attend some or all of these matches, there are a lot of Gray Nomads who would only be to willing to watch the youngsters from their clubs perform on weekdays.

If the SANFL wants to produce better juniors than the other states, then more money should be put into promoting our future young stars
I wish my remembering was as good as my forgetting

I agree 100%. That's why I'm posting what I know in here.

Hopefully Wedgie gets a press release (or whatever it was) like yesterday to post.

Thanks anyway Wedgie.

Dogs beat North this morning by almost 4 goals, we now wait on results this afternoon (Norwood V South) and tomorrow (Norwood V North & Sturt V South I think) to see who is in the semi finals.

North country were 4 goals up half way through the second qtr against Central country when I left.

Results so far indicate Norwood will finish top (they have to drop one result as they don't have a bye this year) and we will finish second in our division. Be interested to hear of any results from Div 1 at Woodville yesterday or at Glenelg today.

I snuck in for a quick look, saw most of the 3rd term when we kicked a couple of quick ones but was too busy chatting to Thommo (who was out having a bit of a look seeing so it's school holidays.) A couple of impressive young lads out there Smac...

BTW... Who was number 15 for the Dogs, was the young lads name Jake ? I think it could have been my step brother's fiance's son (from a previous mariiage) but wasn't quite sure ?

He looked pretty handy up forward and in the ruck. Well done to the lads for hanging on to the win, I saw North mount a comeback as I was walking back to the car. Good luck for the rest of the carnival.

GO THE U/15's DOGGIES...

Yep, that'd be Jake Hazeal.

A couple of very exciting players in that group.

Was also good to see Darel Harts twins playing against each other today, no love lost between them I'm sure...

I thought it was him...

Should have stayed around longer to watch more of him, seeing as though he is kind of my "step-nephew"...

P.S - I didn't say hi because I wasn't really sure which one of the Centrals officials you were. I kind of assume you were the taller big fella sitting down on the inside of the fence next to the interchange bench. Next to Barry McDonald, your old man, isn't it ??!!

Smaccer - tell us about some of the kids you're seeing out there, for Centrals and otherwise...any names we should be looking out for?

And why were Darel Hart's twins playing AGAINST each other? That'd be a pretty good story for a newspaper type....
