very very ordinary effort today

also either the players are dumb or the coaching staff werent aware of what was happening with loose players from westies or its a case of both.

I also thought that you could only run so far without bouncing the ball - well today Cupido seemed to run 25m back towards our goal and not a thing, I think Cupido is missing the forward lines and wanted to boot a goal!!!!!!

at half time west had a chance by lemon time they had no chance despite coming home with the breeze, i though it a lacklustre game by both teams
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Record set: West Adelaide's lowest ever score against the Bays.

Glenelg's first term was poor. All credit to West who were hard with the bodies and had numbers at the packs. Really caught the Bays off their guard.

Glenelg's second term was better, they had their chances to score, but were foiled by the stiff northerly. Plenty of shots on goal missed, a few more not making the distance.

West had done well to put physical pressure on the Bays and stifle the game - dare I say I saw a little flooding being applied? But in the second half Glenelg's class came to the fore. Kicked away with the breeze in the third and went on with it in the fourth.

The final score doesn't really do justice to Westies. While ultra-defensive, which probably accounts for their low score, they did get a number of fluid runs happening down the middle; Glenelg's ability to apply pressure when the Bloods had the run was sporadic. Poor finishing let the Bloods down.

All up today's game was not a good advertisement for the sport, but I'm happy that my mob could recover from a sh!t first term, to grind away and get a decent win.

Footnote - the Bloods BBQ is indeed one of the highlights of a trip to Richmond Oval; the steak sangers from there should be placed on the heritage list next to pie floaters and frog cakes 8)

Always look forward to heading to Broadspectrum for a great steak sanger and after already being there once this year, the Dogs play there later in the year, which I'm very pleased about :D
