Can North fans clarify???

Postby TigerBoss » Mon Jul 07, 2008 12:04 pm

Got this from a mate who was at yesterday's game...

Strange comment from a Groggie as Sam Rudolph walked down to the goal
square in the last quarter:

Hey Bob Marley, show us your Buffalo, Soldier.

Alcohol kicking in, or something a bit more humorous?

Your limbs suck.

Are you sure you're not Captain Obvious who graces these pages with his wit and humour?

The words "Buffalo" and "Soldier" were what I was referring to. Now I don't know much about Marley, so if it's in reference to a song or something, then I'll understand...

Just curious more than anything...

What an informative site this is...

I'll let my mate know...perhaps it was the delivery of this line that had him confused.

Hooray - better than "Buffalo Girls" or "Buffalo Stance".

Were these comments coming from the area near where the charming 10-12 year old girls were singing "We're a bunch of Muther **** when we lose"? Even Mr. Alleway looked disturbed by that.

No, I heard the Bob Marley comments but didn't hear those other comments where I was so they must have been different areas.
And even though my daughter is 11 she wasn't there yesterday so it wasn't her.

The other day I was wearing my jewel studded glasses and top hat and someone yelled out "hey Elton John - show us your crocodile , rock"

And I thought "why are you calling me a rock?" :?

Plus, why I would have a crocodile :? :? (something to do with Steve Irwin maybe?)

Can anyone clarify?

I think there was a guy called Elton John who did a bit of club kareoke singing and by all accounts he used to wear jewel studded glasses and hats and other shiney things. I think it might just have been a bit of a gimmick but can't say for sure. Anyways, I'm sure he penned a ditty called Crocodile Rock, which I'm told by a freind, was a song about a dancing crocodile. Never got anywhere with it though  Sorry I can't be of anymore help
