Reference was made to Nathan Buckley and his 46 possession best and Matt Priddis (45) tonight, there's a good case that Priddis' high tally of disposals should be disregarded because of the way they were gained. Much in the same way that people look upon records in international cricket made against minnows.

240 handballs to the losing side is really against the essence of the game. After all, it is called (in its shortened state) footy, and 449 handballs between the sides does not look good, the same as keepings off footy. Sydney may be blamed for starting the modern flood, well I think that West Coast should be blamed for this overuse of handball; their mindboggling tallies of handball in 2006 are now commonplace.

Middle of the season, the guys are obviously a bit tired, did what they had to do to get the points ..... a day in the office. You can't be at a high emotional pitch for all 22 rounds or you'd go nuts.

You want gusto? Tune in to when they get closer to the finals.
