Who comes in for Macca??

Postby hawks21 » Wed Jun 25, 2008 5:50 pm

Now Macca will be out for 3 - 5 weeks, who will come in for him against Geelong next week? Is there any obvious replacements i can't see? Do we go with a Massie, or stick with one of the youngsters. eg. play Dmac, Symes, Otten or dare i say dangerfield? I would prefer to see the youngsters! Thoughts??

Ottens or Mackay.
Possibly VB to HBF, or move Reilly or Edwards to back pocket and Johncock out to Macca's spot.

Massie's one bloke the Crows seem to recall without getting much gametime back into him ... If he front's for the Legs and pulls up ok, regardless of performance, he'd be a big chance to be included.

I'd go with that if he is fit - being interstate, I didn't know he'd played SANFL last week and come through OK.

I think Symes is a much better prospect than Mark Williams thought he was, and is worth developing further.

There's a defender on the match day cover because that's where the ball will be for most of the night.

Although on a Crows board, we're probably not allowed to incite their supporters by suggesting they may be in a bit of trouble next week.

I think Geelong will smash a Crows side lacking form, Forwards and most importantly, confidence.

Symesy for mine.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. :(
I think we do lack forwards who can take a contested mark or bring the ball to the ground if it is not delivered well.

the game will be closer than all you guys think. i dont think that geelong have defenders that are Aerobically fit enough to go with Gill and Burton.
