6 less goals to the Power tonight and they'd get even less people to the game than they do now! :?

Drop Daniel and you might as well as drop the entire concept of a Port side being in the AFL.

Nothing wrong with the 6 goals, but his sook after not getting a free and at the same time a Richmond player going past him with the ball kind of sums up the players that get picked for Port. All the hard nuts for Port are in the SANFL.

Plenty of players sook .The biggest one plays for Richmond

You're not going to find me arguing with that, it's what point of the game and where the play was taking place at the time this sook took place tells me that he is not a team player.

I think he's a selfish individual to be honest & very undisciplined at times especially when things don't go his way.
How many times i've seen him laying down on the ground giving up the ghost is incredible, if only Choco treated Motlop the same as all the other players, Motlop would of been dropped weeks ago.

Well then No Mercy, you dont watch Motlop closely enough.Of all the forwards who are busting their arse trying to keep the ball in the forward line take inspiration from Motlop.

If you watch him closely he is often up on the wing chasing a defender/s who have taken the ball out of our forward line, and just as often this is after he has contested the ball coming in and then perhaps given a second effort to win the ball.People who go and watch the Power play (not just on TV where your view is restricted) will tell you the same.

He can be selfish, but natural forwards can look that way.Johnson (Bulldog and Cat) could be described the same, would you drop them?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Had the chat regarding his discipline on the weekend with a Power mate, who whilst agreeing that his discipline at times goes missing also argued that Port wouldn't have even been in contention without his 6 goals.

Chocco in a tough spot here, because Port's forward line options are one of the biggest things hurting them and there's no way he could take out their best goalkicking option.

Drop Motlop?? WTF. That play where he punched the ground happened right in front of me and was very poor and no way should be tolerated.

But Motlop is one of those X factor type players who have the ablility to do things with the football very few others do. Soon as you start imposing rules, restrictions on a player like motlop then he would soon go into his shell. Still that particular effort was pretty poor and a blight on what was a pretty good game by him.

Megahead on the other hand.....why does he get so close to the man on the mark?

Yes, playing on near the boundary line in the third quarter, only to be snaffled. He did kick that last goal of the match, but Tredders made up for it.

there are a lot of IFs about the powers year, IF motlop had have steady an goal in the 2nd qtr momentum could have swung the powers way and tredders shot wouldnt even be talked about.

on a positive note i thought the back line held up well imo!!!!

It is true, when one player is highlighted for something like that late in the match, it's almost like they are to blame for the loss. I don't understand that, to be honest - my comment about Tredrea was not really serious, because it was not an easy shot by any means. It would not be talked about if that shot happened in the 1st quarter.

He felt more confident on his non prefered leg :? knowing your in the dying stages of the game wouldn't you go back compose yourself & back yourself in on your prefered right leg?
It just goes to show the bloke has no confidence in his own kicking ability.

Yeah, I think the point was made that even a checkside would have been better than that play on shot. Even a drop punt was gettable from there - how many goals from the pocket at training are kicked?

Obviously takes the lead from his Captain, who can blame the lad?
Only difference is he's got skill and can win games off his own boot where his Captain is only good for taking bows.
Daniel's already a star, put him a side with some leadership and he'll be a superstar in many many premierships.

Thats a silly thing to say. The club is not at a good state at the moment, but things can change very quick. 20 years is a long time, no one can even foresee with any knowledge what will happen in 3 years.
