In 2002 there was a 42-1 win/loss ratio in matches where one of the top three played one of the bottom 6. Currently this season it is 19-2 in favour of the top three against the bottom 6.

I wish it WAS similar to 2002, Norwood were in the top 3 and Glenelg were bottom
Spelly, over the years when Glenelg were up, Central have been down and vice-versa, except for maybe a couple of years in the 1980s. What is the finals record like between Glenelg and Central District?

Glenelg have played Central three times in finals for three wins. This however, was in the middle of the losing streak of 12 in finals for Central - 1982 EF, 1984 QF and 1988 1SF.

Another 'Ask Spelly' question: what's the latest in the season (at least in the last generation or so) that the teams sitting 6th and 7th (or worse) on the ladder, have both gone on to make the finals?
