It's fine to blame ANJ and I guess that ultimately the buck stops with him reagarding the team' performances but the players really need to put their hands up for the effort displayed today. You could have J Oatey, F Williams, L Mathews and K Sheedy in the box but if the players aren't putting in there's not much the coach can do...

There seems to be a bit of off field drama within the North Adelaide Football Club...

Chris Ladhams is forced to retire due to a neck injury suffered in a boating accident with Brett White ???

He doesn't bother to tell his coach and Jarman gets informed by the media in a post game interview, not seeming too impressed ???

There are 2 other players currently out suspended that are apparently going to be told they are not required at the club ???

I wonder why Coulter quit, maybe he should come back out to Centrals, he can fit into our ressies side I reckon ???

What do you mean by "work injuries" with Tim Martin Wedgie, I'm not quite sure I understand that definition mate ???

The NAFC will release a statement on Monday with the names of the 3 players involved. Let's just say the 3 were involved in a reasonably serious off field incindent at the club premises.

The President spoke before presentations tonight and said an off field incident had resulted in 3 players being suspended. He didn't name them but said if you wanted to know then ask someone in the know - needless to say players and officials were beseiged after presentations. The President also said that a final determination will be made on Monday after the full details have been investigated.

My mail is that the club will release / sack all 3 on Monday.

In any case it is a worry with some other player discontent stories at North and in addition to the above 3, Tim Martin is having a break and Ladhams has retired.

i dont think this will be a long term problem, as you say, the cash is there to make it all better soon, or should i say, the opportunity to make it all better soon, north have done about 50/50 with $$$ players over the years. maybe another visit to the NT to scout up there or even a visit to the country?

I should add to that, that obviously it doesn't matter how much money some clubs have they'll still stuff up but we have shown that with money we're fairly competitive and always in the finals.
Mind you if we keep the same coach and same people at the club making some of the decisions that have been made in the last 2 years we will become a bigger joke like some of the other clubs mentioned above.
Hopefully that wont happen.

Positive is at least noone will accuse us of breaching the cap this year with half our players leaving mid season!
