Only if they remember to try to kick a few goals in the second half, rather than decide that what they have put away in the first half will do it!

With Ebert out it must be time for Motlop to pull his head in a dominate a game again, he has his couple of quite weeks giving away stupid frees.

Motlop to kick 5, Tredrea 4, Port to win by 6 goals

Motlop, Tredders and Westhoff kick 3 between them, Port loses by 4 goals.

This is a cruel fixture for tipsters everywhere. I backed both Port and Freo last week and have a strong aversion to tipping either but I am forced to select one of them! Let's face it - 'port' teams don't work: send Port to West Sydney and Freo to the Gold Coast, thus protecting the talent pool.

For the record, I've tipped Port by 13 points.

Another round goes by and nothing changes, Freo lead at 3/4 time and capitulate. All a bit boring really.
How good are the Power in the West?
No other AFL team would come remotely close to the Powers record against the Shockers and Weagles in Perth.

Good win at last.

Motlop stood up and kicked his bag.

Bring on Carlton next week, another win for the Power.

What is it with the media trying to hype up the Power as this great threat to teams in the top eight? OK, it's only Dwayne 'Alberton' Russell but he's got a few mates joining in the chorus. The fact remains that one of your best goal kickers can't get a kick as soon as he has somone on him and when it comes to rolling up the sleeves too many Portonians continue to go missing when the work needs to be done. Chad is not fit and he is only half going into contests with that injured hand of his. The vaunted ruck pairing is frayed at the edges with Brogan being fairly ordinary today I thought despite an improved effort from Lade. It is one thing to knock off strugglers like Freo and Carlton but to make the eight the Power needs to catch up on teams that are in the eight by beating them or rely on others to control their destiny.

Frankly, I just can't see it happening.

An embarrassing stat from the game: Port have a better record at Subi than Freo do. What an absolute rabble honestly.

Yes,fell over the line against an absolute rabble.

A few points out of the game:

1: Richmond wiping egg off their faces for letting David Rodan go.One of the best at clearances going around at the moment.IMO.
2: Kepler Bradley getting stung for holding the ball when a goal to Freo there puts the game in the balance, ball goes to other end,Port goal, just about game over.Ray Chamberlain.....say no more.
3: Aaron Sandilands,so dominant early then hardly sighted and barely got a touch to the ruck contests when Lade began to have an influence during the 3rd term.
4: Solomon,McManus,Carr it is time to leave the building.
5: Mark Harvey looked like he was thinking about what he will do for his next job during the last 10 minutes.
6: Finally, yes finally P.Burgoyne gets moved from 'quarter-back' into the middle of the ground and has an influence on the game.Leave him in there Choco!
7: Unless he is near 100%,give Chad a week off so he can go in as hard* as he normally would. Not one handed.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
