it is a credit to south supporter that they can stick with there club through thick and thin. they must be very frustrated with the way the board goes about the "running" of the club and the constant turn over of coaches. they start the season full of hope and by a few rounds in there heart have been broken again. you must measure a footy club by premierships but a sign of a good club is having a board pulling in the right direction and having it right at junior level that how you make your club great.

Apparently as Jack was leaving Noarlunga after telling the players he was gone he had blasting on his car stereo "Go on take the money & run" by Steve Miller!

The conspiracy theorists might be wondering why Clay Sampson retired last week - notwithstanding that apparently Jack resigned, what prompted this decision? Was the way paved for Clay to take over?

Hopefully there is no conspiracy and it was just a natural turn of events that Clay retires and then Jack walks out soon afterwards.

As posted on the 'South imploded" topic, let's all settle, no one on this site knows the facts behind Jack leaving the club. There is a meeting at Noarlunga this afternoon and media statements will be released both parties will tell their side and the facts will be revealed. Until then every post on here is a rumour, wait for the facts to come out before leaping to conclusions either about Jack or SAFC.

If they want to be a successfull footy club with a positive image, why present the players with a country footy atmosphere.

Because an outer full of cars is far better than a completely empty outer.

I didn't realise termites could speak... or type... or when they do talk & type, it is 5hit.

Given that 1 or 2 Glenelg supporters were the first to come on here (& certainly the most vocal) & bag South, it was certainly warranted to remind them that they should not be the first to cast a stone...

Maybe Glenelg supporters should realise that all though this is a South thread, this is not the time for shardenfruede...

You do seem to have a close interest in all things Glenelg, not just in this thread but right throughout the site. It's also interesting that soon after I make a post anywhere, you pop up with what you would regard to be some witty recourse. Got a secret pining for TB have ya?

Shall we discuss how supportive the North supporters are of their current coach?

Because Broadspectrum Oval is closer to Vilis?

TB, TB, TB, C'mon in the on-line community:

Glenelg is the only club to bag re sacking coaches
North is the only club to bag re the salary cap
Centrals is the only club to bag re welfare cheats
Port is the only club to bag re criminal activity
West is the only club to bag re poor admin
Eagles are the only club to bag re no supporters
Norwood and Sturt are the only clubs to bag re finances
And South well we all feel sorry for poor old South....

Ohh to be able to bring the links to the FootySA forum when people were happy to dance on our grave in August 2005...
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

LOL @ "facts". It's a media statement, not a sworn testimony. FFS!

Where's the fun in that?

btw - who would have thought that the first coach to go between Cahill and Ginever in 2008 would be Cahill.

btw - This is VERY sudden, or did I miss the media release from SAFC giving Jack the full support of the board?

Or have they given up on such things since the Pyman disaster...?

All parties are apparently meeting this afternoon, so hopefully we'll find out something more concrete about the situation then.

The club at least are obliged to issue a Media Release, if only in an attempt to save face.

What a reputation we have at Noarlunga.

And with a reasonable level of success too.

Problem with South is that they let their players run the show.
