What incident are you talking about??? Surely not the high tackle free paid to Treeby against Wright which was purely accidental and nothing like a king hit - a swinging arm is not a king hit!!! It was a mistimed tackle attempt at best!!!

Come back and clarify your comment when you view the replay and point out the actual incident and if it is the one I am referring to, then be prepared to apologise big time because I saw nothing today that resembled anything like a vicious arm swing let alone a king hit your trying to infer. It is very poor form by you to even allege it on this forum let alone mention the cowardly attack that Matt Wright suffered late last year as a comparison to anything that occured in today's game!!!

It was a dangerous act. Probably more reckless than vicous. As I said, he swung his arm wildly and luckily he didn't connect properly. No room for that in the game.

As I said - go watch the replay. He made minimal conact and with the back of his arm in the end. If it was that bad as you suggest then how was it that there was only a free paid and no remonstration by Treeby or any other Eagles player. Any comparison with that "fre kick incident " and the one discussed on this topic and what happened to Wright off field when he got hit from behind with a bottle is laughable!!!

Your clutching at straws and it is rather pathetic. Normally your posts are of a good standard but you have lowered your standard with this one!

Sorry bundy your right re getting off track but Aerie was the one who raised the ridiculous comparison and I felt compelled to respond.

I hope in the case of the South / West game that the alleged incident is dealt with correctly and with the appropriate penalty handed out. I was given a brief run down last night at my son's 21st from an injured West "ressies" player who saw the whole incident and from what he described it was very nasty by all accounts.

In a match review it looks like the incident has been caught on video and lets see how it pans out. I would hope a club like Souths jump on the front foot and suspend this lad and apologise to West Adelaide & Greg Rowe to show they also will not tollerate this behaviour

That is good to hear, my concern was that if there was no video footage then it would be conflicting statements and no action taken, yet now it can be decisivley dealt with one way or the other. If it was an accident then it will no doubt be proven to be so, if it was intentional then SAPOL can deal with it through their normal channels.

It will depend on how the two clubs handle this IMO.

Hopefully SAPOL can be left out of this. The best place for SAPOL in footy is pulling on a guernsey and having a kick themselves.

The plater i believe has been charged bythe SANFL and will front this week, also there is clear video footage of the incident and the matter is likely to go further it has also been whispered

I'm inclined to disagree. I think there should be an officer at every match with a video camera, and all assaults - that is all contact not within the rules of the game - should be prosecuted automatically. Otherwise, Kev07 will have been right in backing Soccer as the sport for 2018.

we have reported it and in the week between games there was over 15 complaints about the umpire not reporting the player, he got to play out the rest of the game and his coach gave him B.O.G. now thats a discrace the coach should not be happy about actions on the feild like that but its look as tho he was very happy with his captain flattening me... DISCRCE

Obviously the coach is of the Neil Kerley, Fos Williams, school of coaching. It needs a few of these people taken to court either by the police or as a civil action to stamp it out.
This is serious stuff and could leave someone with permanent brain injury if they were unlucky.

If it happened at work, even as an accident, there would be compo for the temporary effects and costs, and possibly for a post-concussional syndrome that can last months.
You could also look at Victims of Crime compensation to help cover medical expenses and any time lost from work or studies.
