Other than publishing my tips, I thought I'd offer some insight into Carlton v Freo.

Freo - very competitive with the top ranked sides. Combined losing margin (without looking it up) is 29 points (happy to be corrected).

Good'ish record at Telstra Dome.

Hayden out will hurt them but Grover in will assist greatly.

Grover has a good record v Carlton

Fev has an ordinary record v Grover

Carlton, although improved have won 2 of 19 at Telstra Dome since moving there (thankyou AFL teams)

Personally, I'm not happy Grover is in. If Grover wasn't in, I'd be more inclined to pick the Blues. As it is, I'll be picking Freo.

Shocking one to tip. Do you pick Carlton who have a shocking record fullstop, or Freo who do everything they can to lose games but have played well in patches. I'll be steering clear of this one on sportsbet.com.au

Geelong: IMO will want to smash the Pies for giving them a scare in the finals last year..
Fremantle: Carlton have trouble playing the Dome, and playing the Dockers. WIsh we played our home games at the G, as it is the same dims as Princes Park, and we go OK there...
Port Adelaide: The Chadster & Wilson, big in's. At home. Sydney will push them but...
Richmond: Essendon are shite, and if the Tigers drop this one, season gawn...
Adelaide: WCE are shite..
Brisbane: At the Gabba, the Saints are pretenders, Brisbane to show 'em why...
